Children of Poseidon display similar qualities to those of Zeus, including pride and stubbornness but are more in control of their emotions, making them reasonable in nature. Maybe it wasn’t exactly safe to be wandering around on her own this late, but Sector 6 was beautiful and serene, and probably the safest place in the city. Especially now that things had calmed down.

She missed her home, both of them, the one she’d been stolen from years ago and the one she’d been away from only two months. 

So she’d gone to the park. There was a pond there, even if it was pathetic. Water would do her good. She can already feel the tension leaving her body.

Anna slips off her shoes, stepping softly. If she’s careful and still, perhaps some fish will weave between her legs, she always found that soothing.

Ah… as she waits, watching the ripples spread from her ankles, she notices someone. She offers a gentle wave, glad to not be completely alone.

“Oh.” You sit upright, looking over. “Hey there.”

Here you were, almost hoping to see some familiar fins.

“It’s a little late to be out and about. Are you lost?”

Shyarly had to readjust herself quickly, resting her chest on the fountain edge while her tail stretched out behind her. Some of the water he had been splashing must have ended up on her legs, causing her to transform. If felt nice though with her tail on the sun backed pavement and her hand in the cool fountain water. 

“Right. Zora… hmmm, zora. Oh yes.” She finally remembered who she had heard use that word. From a woman with grey skin and an awful attitude. Shyarly already pitied him for existing is the same world. “Well that’s how it’s always been. You can’t really expect land dwellers and humans to understand anyone who lives like we do. The world under the sea is alien to them, though some do try their best to relate. Don’t write everyone off as unfriendly.”

Shyarly shrugged, rolling her head. “On the plus side, with what little water there is, humans are cautious to enter. But I guess that’s just dividing out races even more.” She offered her hand.

“Shyarly. Of course. I own a spa in the city. No entrance fees for other seadwellers though. Do you enjoy hot water baths?”

“Nah, nah, I know.” You sigh. “I guess it’s hard to understand when you live worlds apart. The most I’ve seen a human hold their breath was... two minutes, maybe less.” You smile, scooting over so you can rest your back against the fountain’s edge next to her. “I can’t really blame them for havin’ a hard time. They’re not built for the sea... so I guess this city just isn’t built for us.”

Handshakes! Right! Humans like those, but you figure some seafolk in other stretches of the ocean must like ‘em too. Your reciprocate the gesture, and you give the back of her hand a little kiss. Just to be polite n’ all. Humans really get a kick out of that, back home.
