ok guys moments from megan's last show
i literally left the theater 15 min ago i'm fully on the bus so i'm a bit of a mess lol but these were some of the biggest things!! (i'm trying to write them down immediately before i forget) this was the silliest cutiest most flamboyant madeline she was just having SO much drawing out lines and getting audience giggles!! and the entire last 15 minutes were genuinely so emotional and devastating – someone else will post curtain call i'm sure but she SOBBED through her bows & josh lamon's speech 😭😭 it was so so special 🥹
once again, HUGE applause on her for the gaze entrance she had to wait quite some time
(this is not as relevant but i was 5th row right orch so i saw tell me ernest in 4k hd and dear god ... it was actually magical if i weren't already gay she would have turned me gay)
again, just the most flamboyant indulgent choices every single line and facial expression got a laugh - i wish i could remember and recount everything but trust it was so silly, i've never seen dee's hel before but dee was making CRAZY choices too (i was so gagged) so the vibes on stage were so wild
megan got a partial standing ovation for falling apart!! (not everyone in my section stood but you can bet my ass was up lol)
the end of act 2 is where things really got crazy, during alive forever dee started crying pretty early into the song if i saw correctly 🥺 she powered through like a trooper though and the whole song was so touching, they were both EMOTIONAL so it was so raw 😭 at some point megan saw dee was like fully crying and she grabbed her hands as they sang together, it was very very moving i actually can not do it justice 😭😭😭 and when they ended the song they were visibly emotional and had a sweet hug 🥹
during "the end," when mad starts singing "i'd give it all to have an ending" she grabbed dee's hand and choked up and barely got through the line 😭 they were both soo emotional
final "what do you wanna do tomorrow mad" was "let's get a drink!" and dee said it wish such gusto!! period 💅
again i won't detail every moment of curtain call since there are a million videos, but it was crazy dee gestured for her to solo bow and she, fully in tears, kept refusing and seemed confused as to why we were all making such a fuss 😭 she's so humble she was just standing there SOBBING like "me??? am i supposed to say something??" as we and the cast all cheered and the applause wouldn't die lol it was actually too much 😭😭😭
she is THE madeline ashton, a singular talent and just incredible force on stage, and i am so so lucky to have seen her in this role one last time!!
(and for all those concerned, i know onehandonmycamera was planning on attending this performance so a boot may be out in a few days 👀)
