Love the idea that madeline and helen are basically getting married and divorced constantly throughout forever at least for the first couple decades. They can't do it legally obviously so they have a big fight and are like "fine. we're over. For good this time" and then go sleep in the next room over for a couple weeks before they make up. Is it healthy? No. but they know they can never actually leave eachother- emotionally and practically- but they both enjoy being dramatic and how they behaved during their lives isnt gonna change overnight
