From the first time she meets valentine and he’s talking about how he’s her father and how important that is etc she doesn’t waste any time telling him that luke is her real dad and repeats that to valentine and others a number of times throughout the series.

There’s something so special about this being a definite fact in clary’s mind rather than a realization she comes to eventually. Like oftentimes in these types of situations it takes some time and thought and wrestling with it for a bit for a character to come to this conclusion (which is a perfectly valid arc) but for clary it was just a fact of her life that luke is her real dad.

Even when he and jocelyn got married I don’t remember clary ever thinking about how this ‘makes it official’ or anything bc in her mind it’s already a fact of life. In the later books once we get a bit of his and jocelyn’s povs, they both refer to clary as “our daughter” and jocelyn acknowledges it as something she loves about him. He’s the one who taught clary to swim in the lake at his farm, who was always letting clary and simon raid the shelves at the bookstore for movie nights, who took her in and replaced all of her things without a second thought while jocelyn was in the hospital

The concept of Julian Blackthorn finding out that his other little sister, who was murdered, has never actually been at rest. That she’s been a ghost for all these years, forced to watch in agony as her family grows up and lives their lives while she sits stuck in time.

The concept of Julian Blackthorn finding out that his little brother, who he thought was coping well from the loss of his twin sister, attempted to raise said sister at 15 years old, forming a spiritual bond between the two of them which he kept secret for all these years, causing irreparable and world changing damage. Is now slowly deteriorating from that bond and dying.

*cause if you think about it. Cassie keeps stressing how current belial is totally different from TLH aka not related to Tessa and her blackthorn descendants (and therefore if he was Kit’s father, making Kit not related to Ty). Belial wanted nothing more than to live among humans, or as one?! Rosemary’s hatred of shadowhunters would def be compatible with his. New Belial supposedly doesn’t care about the same things as old belial, and supposedly doesn’t care about the herondales yet was hanging around Roland and Auraline, seemingly knowing a good amount about their situation. Kit can fire a gun previously only able to be fired by a male heir of Belial. We still know really nothing about Johnny Rook, except for the possible shadowhunter lineage rumors and the shapeshifting magic (which is belial’s main thing). Lastly, belial’s domain is deceit and necromancy (one being Johnny rook’s speciality and the other being the thing he helped Malcolm Fade with)
