well, ive had time to let chapter 59 stew and i was super excited and anxious to finally complete it and reach that milestone.. that pivotal plot point ive envisioned for so long. sadly though, it seems interest has dwindled. i havent gotten one new read since i published lol (hashtag creicrei everytiem) i had the idea to "kill off" roadie since the beginning. i wanted the "crew" to fade out as the RV girls got closer. the splitting of the crew, the loss of kato and roadie and the shifting of allegiances and loyalty. former friends becoming enemies etc. i know i kind of repeated that in Joys arc with wedge and biggs, but honestly that arc was written first and where i got the idea. i just wanted it on a bigger scale i guess. i wasnt going to have wedge and biggs turn on Joy after the re-write but i couldnt really think of anything to do with them. i was building up for tension among the trio to give it some life but the only thing i was seeing was... them splitting up as well so i just decided to not change it. katos death was the breaking point in wendys crew. like yes yeri being sold out was also a major factor as well, but katos death was the symbolism. yeri could still be saved but kato was gone forever. lines had been crossed before they were drawn. roadies death was something i was thinking about for awhile. he was yeris bridge to life outside chroma and i wanted to send him off in a way that symbolized Yeri outgrew him in a way. however that changed a volume or 3 (maybe 3) ago when i planted a seed of possible romance between roadie and yeri... as i felt it would help the emotional weight of his death. i stated in another entry i was so focus on geting to this point i didnt give much thought on where to go after and .. that is very true. i honestly dont know where im going. (i have a very basic idea but no TRUE visions or plot points like i did up until now.) so where are the 5 women headed next in their journey? Joy has unfinished business with Amadopolis. she wanted to take him down for crush's death and now she also lost Biggs, Wedge and Jae to him as well. Irenes was no longer willing to get the answers she seeks about elementians via Grands ruthless approach. she was willing to sabotage their entire new facility to make up for her past transgressions. so she turned her back on Grand, just like seulgi had done. seulgi undoubtedly wants answers for sam, but now has to deal with the loss of Roadie (jess) as well right after he came back into her life. Wendy, relieved to have Yeri back, is also mourning Roadie.. and as much as she thinks the 2 of them could return to rust valley for a "normal/peaceful" life.... she knows Billy and the others are always going to be a constant thorn in their side. Yeri has to face the very heartbreaking loss of roadie. the trauma/deja vu of losing her people in chroma, and now losing roadie while she lives on. (the facilities use of droids and its atmosphere was meant to mimic chromas. hence her nervous breakdown during her solo escape attempt). how will they process and deal with everything and where do they go now? im not sure but ill figure it out. thanks for reading and i hope to get a chapter 60 out as soon as i can.

It's been a long time, but I finally made it. I've had ch 59 in my head for a very long time and I satisfied I finally got it out. I had a lot to cover in it from plot to character motivations. I also added a semi romance plot line last minute (started a few chapters ago that wasn't in my original vision.) that I felt would help the emotional impact. I'll hold off on going into details since it's still freshly published but I will say I've been focused so much on getting to this point, I have 0 idea where the main plot is going next. So, I'm going to spend some time thinking about that. Enjoy ch 59 in the meantime.

good evening. chapter 59 is progressing nicely. i did hit a snag and was starting to panic. without giving spoilers, i decided to prune a bit of the back and forth. i kept some of it because i felt it established some motive and character building for irene but because of that some other characters "screen time" got shortened. (not by much but i did have more stuff in my original draft but again as i was writing i realized it was having irene do alot of going to point A then to point B to point A to point C and B and A and C and B which i honestly didnt account for in planning so it was just a mistake on my part. its been sorted though.) right now im about 9000 words in... and im probably a little over halfway done. i know, why cant all my chapters be so long hahaha. i feel like my volume finals should be longer though. so anyway just wanted to let you know im doing good and i hope tohave it posted sometime next week, thank you.

so, maybe its a cosmic april fools joke but i was going to post chapter 56 but decided to wait. i finally did a bit of Wendy content, but its nothing all that important. i know i stated in an earlier update i had some ideas for her that will pay off later. this was one of those ideas. and i say its not important in terms of the immediate situation. because of that i feel like its a "filler" episode. she has some interactions with Billy and then moves on to go on a quick fetch quest. though i met my personal minimum requirement to "publish" chapter 56, i have decided to hold off and start writing some content for chapter 57. im going to be returning to ICC for that chapter and checking in on Joy. depending on how that goes, i will decide to just post 56 as is or maybe try to beef it up a tiny bit more. i apologize for the delay but im making good progress.

i know this volumes chapters have been consistently shorter. typically i tend to have a chapter or 2 per volume on the short side, but this time i think all the chapters have been short. i think ive already posted this, but the mid volume plot point i wanted to hit is now going to be the volume finale. however that wasnt always my plan. my mid volume plot point was the finale, i know its sounds contradictory but i knew going in i probably wasnt going to have 10 chapters worth of content to make it work. so i was like okay ill move the finale to the middle. but then i was like, well no. i have too much back and forth with the characters all doing their own things. timelines yadda yadda, stop over thinking. i decided, instead of forcing myself to hit "length quotas", just write. if the chapters are a bit shorter, o well. now my finale can be my finale. (volume, not story). so going into chapter 56, i have a few topics and characters that need visiting. Joy. i want a chapter on where her character is following the discovery Amadopolis is trafficking people. i could make that a whole chapter. im deciding on how to fit Wendy in. id like for her to have some time with Wendy. but id also like to try to write about wendys own scenario. have her old friends truly let go? or will they keep coming around? do they want Wendy on their side or will they hold a grudge against her for cutting ties thanks to their partnership with the collector. seulgi will get an update, ill touch base regarding her reconnecting with Roadie/Jess. so a seulgi/jess chapter, a joy chapter and probably one more irene/yeri chapter. before we get to the finale at chapter 59. (and yes ill try to include some wendy content) the order isnt decided yet, but i think Joys chapter willbe 56. im still planning it all but when i start 56 i will post to let you know.

I know it's been a minute since my last update but I am well into chapter 55. I keep wanting to do a joy chapter, or joy segment. I find myself starting a follow up to where we last left her but then I get caught up figuring things out and instead of sticking on it, I write other content so my brains not idling. This chapter is no exception. It is so far an Irene segment. With the reveal Yeri was taken into grand custody, I feel like there's a lot to address there. So I'm diving into that. I didn't think I'd have this much content. My mid volume plans are now looking to be the volume finale... I know chapters have been a bit shorter so far as well though. Lol. This chapter is trying to take a better look at elementians. Or how Irene and Grand are trying to understand their capabilities. Of course I also want to develop the installation and lake it rests in. What exactly makes it toxic? And what it does to people who enter it unprotected. So that's my plan. Stay tuned

so, i finished chapter 54. i was once again a tad befuddled with the timeframe im working with. i had a bit more written but i cut it because i felt too much time was passing in the chapter and it wouldnt sync up properly. i know i should probably plan better but this story is technically a prototype. a rough draft. or maybe i like to say that so i can use it as an excuse to be a lazy writer. lol.

im already about halfway into the next volume and im being particular about the "chronological correctness" of it. of course when your planning in your mind things tend to fit but then you write and the vision you had isnt as sound as you originally thought. with that said, i understand the time frame is a bit "loose". i say days pass to keep the chronology vague and to not write myself into a mistake. speaking of mistakes. i have had something i thought i fixed and didnt. the side character Ana, who was a character that briefly appeared in some Joys chapters and was part of Crushs group was not supposed to be killed off. i published that chapter in haste as i was so eager to finally get to it and finish it. originally i had no further plans for her. then i was like, you know what ill keep her around. however i never corrected the change. i thought i had, but i hadnt. so stupid me mentioned the character again as if she were alive after accidentally killing off the character. I FIXED THE ISSUE and edited the part where Ana passes away. the character is still alive. not TOO huge... (i mean it was a big error on my part sorry) of an issue as it was a side character but yeah. chapter 54 is coming. im checking in with irene to open the chapter up for the sake of the "time line" that im having too much anxiety over not mucking up completely. ill update again as i progress thank you

Happy February. I published ch 53. It was going to be about Joy but I wasnt liking it and felt it was too... Easy. Not in easy to write but I was solving problems and conflicts too easily in story. I wanted this arc to have a more serious tone what with yeri being taken, kato passing and the group ultimately falling out. I had Joy meeting with Wendy and.. it just was going in a direction that didn't work. So. I just scrapped it, and went with progressing Seulgi and Roadies storyline. Enjoy.

I’m just about done. I cut out some dialogue I felt didn’t add much except padding my word count. I just want to add a better closing to the chapter which I can get to tomorrow and hopefully publish as well.

well, it’s 2026 already. Crazy how fast time moves when you get old. lol. Anyway, I know it’s been a bit since I updated, I apologize but I have been trying to write this chapter but was hung up on the time frame. I may have stated it was going to be a Joy chapter, and there is still a tiny portion I started pertaining to her but I went back and started writing Irene content because I realized I wanted and needed to advance her arc. The problem I ran into was I realized I don’t have a big time frame “in story” to accurately tell her story. I thought I had more of a window but I don’t. Now it’s not impossible to proceed with the short time frame in story, it just wouldn’t make much sense. So, in order to make it more plausible, believable, I need to have her arc develop in a bigger window. I’ll have to pad other content a bit to adapt but I am working it out. It’s not a huge problem, just making adjustments here are effecting other arcs as well.. as they will (omg spoilers!) eventually tie together. I think that’s obvious though. So just continue to be patient, I am working it all out and now that the holidays are over I can dedicate more time on writing once again. Thank you for all your patience with me thus far and I’ll get back to work.
