The moment the Doctor left Spirale, it was perhaps during that awful moment, being kidnapped and stuck into what felt like the Sarcophagus. Not they truly remember the whole time of what it's like in it, but they remember a certain young boy attempting to go inside and changed-- irreversibly.
In spite of Kalt'sits constant reassurance that would never happen to them, there was still that fear. They had felt that fear in that moment, stuck in that chamber- it was terrifying. But they were saved, rescued- but that moment hadn't lasted- Then they fell out of that world, quite literally and metaphorically, so to speak-
To that moment again- the encounter with that woman Salus. They remembered but also didn't, they tried, but once again failed. They could feel bones cracking in their right forearm, but they have to do something. Something, something something- anything for her, Amiya. Whether it was futile, because they didn't know how to fight, their yearning to protect Amiya was stronger-
While it was somewhat unsucessful, but also sucessful for stalling time and protecting Amiya, the casualty was their broken right forearm. A small price to pay, in order to protect their partner and only family at this point, but it's certainly worth doing it. Everything else had become a blur- as one does- and now they're waiting.
Waiting and pacing and worrying. As a non-fighter that's all they could do, as they fret in worry for Amiya and Logos who went to fought the Sanguinarch of Vampires. Even if Amya was stated to be the King of Sarkaz, she's still very much a young girl, barely a teenager and yet she was fighting while they were not. How could anyone not be worried?
But it all turned out okay, somehow or another. They all managed to survive and now all they needed to move on- and move on and move on. In spite of everything they did today, there's still more left to do- as one does, ever forward. They needed to recuperate, recover and get ready for whatever next thing that occured, but- before they even managed to prepare for anything-
Like always something goes wrong, and the eventuality they hadn't planned for occurs. Something is taking the Doctor away, but no matter how they resist, the pull grows and grows- and again, they're gone- gone from where they needed to be. Then they wake up, again, at the edge of the hole- and once again, they climb inside the taxi.
There's a sinking feeling in their stomach, as they look out the window of the taxi, looking at the city of Spirale.
"Welcome back to the City of Spirale."
