Three Bees Crochet

You can call me Bee/s, Three, whatever works (+ they/them pronouns please!). I'm a 20-something digital and crochet artist based in the U.S., though I only use this blog for crochet works. I love crocheting little creatures, and my favorites are birds, fish, and cats!

A little blue betta! This guy was a fun experiment in adding more colors to the pattern design. They kind of give a sky and clouds vibe.

Two little cacti modelling my attempt at a new photo setup! Behind the scenes below the cut.

Two out of four little creatures for my younger cousins! I wanted an excuse to experiment more without sacrificing shelf space to display things, and gifts for family felt like the perfect opportunity. All of them are more than old enough to be safe around safety eyes, don't worry.

The rabbit pattern is by Complicated Knots on YouTube and the cat by bigbebez on Etsy. Full turnaround of the rabbit and bonus hide-and-seek with the void orb (vorb) below the cut!

Bird #9: Blue-and-gold Macaw

Meet Cardboard the cat! He was initially meant to have embroidered stripes, but when I realized a blank cat would be more useful for visualizing color placements, he became my sample model for future designs instead.

The third slug design concept! This came out very different than my initial sketches and I most definitely will Not be doing double stranded frills on the final version. The result is gorgeous, but unfortunately it's very hard on my hands and I couldn't do it repeatedly 💔 The second model for this design will likely have a frill with separate layers of black and white instead, maybe with embroidered details to fill space on the body too.

The Long Bee is complete!

She ended up a little longer than the goal length of 67 inches and so she's actually taller than I am - oops! If I bend her a bit I can pretend we're the same height. She makes an excellent scarf either way.

Meet Ketchup's boyfriend, Ganache!

Ganache has wayyy more fin than Ketchup. I very much underestimated how much going around again and doubling the number of stitches on the top would create. He's very wiggly and I love him <3
