Barbados welcomed the Arvia cruise vessel today led by Captain Paul Brown for the first of 10 calls to the island. This is one of the newest ships by P&O cruises and is also the largest passenger capacity ship to visit Barbados with a maximum of 5200 guests. The Arvia is now one of 21 vessels homeporting in Barbados for this winter season. Arvia joined the P&O Cruises fleet in December 2022, at 185,000 tonnes, 345m in length with 16 guest decks and setting new ground for guest experience, Arvia is P&O Cruises’ second ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the marine industry’s most advanced fuel technology to date.
