This blog is a complete and utter mess

He was clearly the audience surrogate in season one and that season ended with hints that his mother was going to become a recurring villain in the series, yet she's nowhere to be found in season two.

Gosh, how I wish they went with the evil Kryptonian robot incarnation of Eradicator instead of making the character an evil clone.

These designs are fucking incredible.

But I guess they didn’t want to overdo it with the cyborgs and robots? I mean, we already had Brainiac as the main villain of season two and Cyborg Superman as the main villain of the first half of season three, so I kind of see why they scrapped this idea during production.

Alright, credit where it's due, I never thought we were ever going to see the Vrill Drox version of Brainiac in this series. So the fact that the writers managed to give us a MAWS version of the character is genuinely impressive.

This episode was a fucking shitshow.

I want to make it clear that I'm in no way defending DeMayo, the guy is a piece of shit, but it's pretty obvious that this season suffered because of executive meddling.

And look, I don't blame Marvel for trying to distance themselves from DeMayo, but it is frustrating how so many ideas got reworked or abandoned at the last second.

Gambit being a horseman? That got scrapped in favor of him being a villain of a week.

Apocalypse's motivation changed for no rhyme or reason. The season starts with him going back in time to ensure that the X-Men won't be able to stop him in the future, but in episode eight it turns out his master plan was to go back in time to get revenge on Candra for betraying him.

Magneto's death and Charles dealing with the aftermath was meant to be set up for Onslaught, but any chances of that character appearing in the series are unknown as nobody outside of DeMayo seems interested in doing anything major with Onslaught.

Also, where the hell were Polaris and Bishop in episode eight? Both characters were given a bunch of time in the spotlight this season and yet they're MIA in episode eight.

Speaking of Polaris, I'm still baffled as to why this season seems hellbent on making her the breakout star. Maybe she's going to be heavily featured in the MCU and Marvel thought that having her play a big part in season two would get people hyped for her live action debut? I dunno, the fact that she got her own spotlight episode still feels weird.

Another thing that really bugged the shit out of me in episode eight was the bizarre power scaling. I'm sorry, but there is no way that a brainwashed Nightcrawler would be able to hold his own against the X-Men and X-Force.

Oh, and you gotta love how Candra is killed off in such an anticlimactic manner, because fuck forbid this season have any decent payoffs.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Considering the current state of WB, I don’t blame the writers for trying to do as much as they can with the show before it eventually gets cancelled. I honestly never thought we’d ever get to see Jon Kent in this show, but I’m glad we did.

Who knows, maybe the show will get renewed for another season, maybe it won’t.

This scene legitimately fucked me up.

Also, if Lois was the one who sent Jonathan and Lara to steal Lex's time machine so they could go back in time to kill Lex, wouldn't they have run into Jon at some point? They couldn't have stolen Lex's time machine before Jon was sent to their timeline seeing as a month had passed in the main timeline since Jon's arrival.

I don’t want to the guy who’s constantly shitting on the MCU Spider Man films, as I think there’s enough negativity on the internet as is, but holy fuck, am I getting frustrated with this franchise.

The first two movies were Iron Man Jr movies masquerading as Spider Man films, the third film was a giant nostalgia pandering circle jerk and Brand New Day is just a back door pilot for the X-Men reboot.

It’s mind boggling to me how Gunn not only okay’ed a terrible script, but that he thought that getting someone who had no experience writing films to pen said script was the best way to tackle the writing.

Everything about this movie is a fucking mess.

From the awful color palette, confused tone, truly horrendous needle drops, lame villain and Jason Momoa’s half assed performance as Lobo. I genuinely want to know how anyone at WB could look at the finished film and say “Yeah, that’s good enough.”

Finding out that Kallik (I'm guessing that's her name, I don't think her name was ever stated in the film) was supposed to have bleach blonde hair at one point is so weird.

But I guess the writers needed to hammer in the fact that Creed is beyond redemption, every though anyone who watched the original series already knew he was never going to be redeemed as he was a regular recurring villain in multiple episodes.

I’m sorry, but I cannot stand media that tries so goddamn hard to subvert expectations by bombarding the viewer with “gotcha” moments.

It’s not clever, it’s fucking annoying.
