「❥」// Oh! His reaction has her muffling a fit of giggles. Had he not seen her retaliation coming? He should have. Like she was really going to let a snowball to the back slide without consequence. But, oh— wait, now what is he doing? She’s still laughing, but it is abruptly cut off when she is hit with another snowball.
Well—- now it’s war.
"—-Hey!" she cries, arms covering her face in case another snowball flies through the air, but when it doesn’t, she throws another of her own snowballs at him.
—— {❄}; The sprit completely burst into laughter then, pivoting his body so that he could take off, but not before her next snowball managed to nail his square in the shoulder and make him pirouette away. He lowered the head of his staff as he ran, causing a multitude of snowballs to appear on the ground in a trail behind him. Jack snatched up one of them, tossing it in her direction before attempting to duck behind a nearby tree. "You can do better than that!"
「❥」// Oh, she can totally see him. Anna doesn’t even hestitate. She crouches down, grabbing handful of snow and patting into a ball before she throws it; her aim true and concise.
POW! Bullseye!
Right in the face.
—— {❄}; Wait, what was she doing? She was moving now, and it looked as if she was arming herself with her own snowball. But that was just silly, she couldn't possibly be—-
WHACK!
Jack stumbled backwards from the impact, his eyes snapping shut as he shook his head to get the snow out from his hair. She'd actually seen him? Excitement bubbled up in the pit of his stomach, causing him to hop in place before a bout of laughter escaped him, "Geeze, you've got some arm!" Then, without saying anything more, he scooped up more snow and pulled back his shoulder to fling it at her.
「❥」// “—Alright, that’s it! Who threw that?”
—— {❄}; The Winter Spirit only whistled innocently, his staff rested casually against his shoulder as he rolled back and forth on the balls of his feet. She probably couldn't see him anyway, so why bother trying to run?
—— {❄}; "Oh, man... been busy, busy, busy. Mother Nature's been wanting a lot of cold so far this year. Not that I'm complaining, I mean that means I get to do more and see the kids in certain places a little longer."

Wind and Stars / Anna and Jack Frost
"Okay, bye."
So Elsa didn’t want to build any snowmen today or play anything at all today. It’s okay, it didn’t matter! She’d definitely want to do it tomorrow. Little Anna sniffled and shuffled away from Elsa’s cold door and skipped down the hall with a little less happiness in her steps. Her dolls skid along the floor as she did.
Life was getting awfully boring without her best buddy, and more and more Anna got a little less hopeful that she’d play with her. But why didn’t she? She thought she was pretty fun to hang out with!
Anna moved about, on a mission to find something fun. She passed by a tall window giving a view of a tiny courtyard and tugged on Magnus’s (the head butler here at the castle) pant leg to hoist her up a chair to peer out of it.
There in front of the glass, she peered out at the snow blanketing all of Arendelle and huffed on the glass till her cheeks turned pink. Her chubby, pink little fingers drew a poorly drawn replica of her and Elsa in the frost.
—— {❄}; That day had managed to be a rather uneventful one for Jack and the lack of children out for him to at least watch while he worked had severely dampened his mood to the point of retreat into the hood of his rather ragged and worn cloak. He enjoyed bringing the frost and snow, of course, it was a way for him to express himself in a more artistic way, but what truly made him whole was to see the bright faces of young children as snowflakes kissed their noses.
The Winter Spirit was in a rather gloomy mood by the time he ventured into Arendelle, not even jovial enough to hum to pass by some of the time. There were no children anywhere to be seen, almost as if somehow they'd all vanished into thin air. Surely that wasn't possible, was it?
And then dread crept up inside of him, causing him to leap into a wind current so that he could hop from rooftop to rooftop and spy into windows for any sign of children. It was a failed endeavor, considering majority of the homes had their shutters closed to keep out the cold, and that only worried him all the more.
Where had all the children gone?
But then he saw her, a little thing stretched up on a chair with her cheeks a rosy pink from blowing on the ice cold window, and all his worries washed away. It was funny how just the face of one child could significantly melt all of his troubles away. Yet there was something sad to her features that shown especially in her eyes, and it broke his heart to pieces.
Jack ascended to the castle courtyard, his staff resting over his shoulder as his free hand thoughtfully stroked his chin. There had to be some way that he could cheer her up, someway indirectly, as he wasn't yet sure if she would be able to see him or not.
A snowman, he deducted, but not just merely any snowman. After all, this was a little princess he was attempting to cheer up - or he gathered the girl was a princess due to the fact that she was in a castle.
Instantly, the sprites features stretched into a grin and with a few waves of his staff he was able to produce a rather grand miniature castle made from snow, along with it a snowman that had an uncanny resemblance to that of a knight.
Now all that he needed to do was get her attention.
Jack bent down to scoop a handful of snow between his palms, rolling and compressing it into a perfect ball before blowing ever so lightly upon it. His breath made it harder, allowing it to stay in tack until it slammed against the window that the little princess was currently behind.
{thouwinter-wind}
She was Queen. People supported her despite the challenges she had put them through. She was home, safe, and alongside her sister. And yet, Elsa still felt alone. She did love her sister, but it still didn’t feel enough to make Elsa truly happy, and the girl didn’t understand why.
With her eyes shut, Elsa sat on the bench beside the water fountain; the sound of the soothing crashes of water as it leaped from the top and it the bottom - light drops hitting Elsa where she sat. At the pit of the woman’s stomach, she felt like she was waiting for something. For someone. But who? Elsa sat there with just the sound of the fountain and her irritating and foolish thoughts; until she heard someone from the distance. A shadow standing tall; her eyes focused on it, a tilt of her head with a small confusion slipping in her eyes. “Hello?” She rose a brow, “Can I help you?”
—— {❄}; It had been some time since the Winter Spirit had visited Arendelle rather than simply passed through to supply it with the seasonal winter and all things his title brought forth. He hadn't a particular reason to linger about, not since the castles gates had closed and thus the two princesses had gone into seclusion. How many seasons ago had that been? He could hardly recall. Then again, time for Jack was hard to trace due to his immortality,
But this year, something peculiar had brought him to Arendelle ahead of the season. Odd weather had been reported and Mother Nature was avidly blaming him for it. So maybe Jack did have a history of freezing over some places he shouldn't have, but he hadn't stepped out of line even remotely as of late. So just what could possible have caused such cold conditions during what was supposed to be summer?
Only one thing came to mind: Princess Elsa. Or rather Queen Elsa, he had quickly learned upon venturing to the kingdom. She'd come of age and had her coronation, and that realization made him smile.
"My, look at how you've grown," the sprite chimed, his voice jovial and lilting, "I remember when you were just a little girl that could barely reach up to my knees." Jack chuckled, his bare feet near dancing over the fountains edge. He dared not touch the water, however, not wanting it to freeze.
"I've been wondering when you'd come out to play again."

[ooc] Caught the flu /:
—— {❄}; "Flew by a car blaring the song "Jumpin' Jack" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Now that brings back memories, let me tell you. That was most definitely my song back in the day. I had to resist breaking out in a dance right then and there. The Twenties is, and always will be, my favorite era. The Seventies comes pretty close, though. But you just can't beat some good old-fashioned swing."
Olaf returned the grin though tipped his head up slightly so he could see the Spirit of Winter more properly. His smile faltered a bit at Jack’s reply, his shoulders dropping a bit. “Oh I see… I’m sorry…” Quickly he went on to change the topic. “Yup, of Arendelle.” Jack Frost, there was a glimmer of recognition of that name to the snowman. All the stories he would Anna would tell him around Christmastime quickly coming back to him, his thin fingers making a loud crackling sound as he snapped them. His face lit with an excitement now. “Jack Frost— of course— ! Haha… I should have guessed… Not many people walking around here with white hair…”
—— {❄}; Jack managed a small smile, even despite the tragic end to Frosty the Snowman. At least his creation was remembered in the hearts of children, so in theory he was still alive. At least, in spirit. Arendelle... he couldn't exactly recall what it looked like there, but he knew that he must have been there at one point or another. After all, he was the guy in charge of the snow so there were only a few select places on Earth he never went - and all of those places were closer to the equator. The Guardian blinked at Olaf's sudden excitement, but then let out another laugh, "Yeah, kinda makes you stick out like a sore thumb. I'm guessing Queen Elsa's got the same traits, right? White hair, blue eyes, and pale skin? Manny likes to make us look the part, I guess."
"Course I can, silly!" the princess rolls her eyes and slides off her mount, oh so very unelegantly. "Why wouldn’t I be able to see you?" Worry colored her voice as she approached the boy, oddly regarding his clothing and bare feet. She looks out over his work, not knowing it is his. "It’s so pretty don’t you think?" Turning back to him, she lowered her voice. "My sister can do something like this just by pointing." she demonstrated the action.
—— {❄}; The way that his face lit up when she again regarded him was near akin to the expression of a child during Christmas, and Jack couldn't help but to bounce in place happily. "She can actually see me," he breathed out, though more to himself as assurance than to her. He was too caught up in this joyous moment to notice her expression of worry, but he did look back up at her when she mentioned his handy-work. "My favorite time of year," he stated with a dreamy, contented sigh. The Winter Spirit could have stood there gazing forever, but the girl's next comment took his wide-eyed attention, "Your sister is a winter spirit?"
The snow creature’s giggle turned into a bellowing fit of laughter at the winter hellion’s expression. Hands clapping together as his tiny body shook with glee. Surprising people never got old. “Haha— Frosty’s real?” Olaf mused under his breath after his laughter died down. “My friend Queen Elsa. She has these brilliant ice powers.” His wide black eyes blinked with interest now as he tipped his chin up. “By the way, who are you again?”
—— {❄}; When Jack finally stepped back up to the little snowman, he squatted back down to his level and flashed a wide grin. "Well, he used to be. I made him a long time ago and the kids loved him, but the parents... not so much," he trailed off sadly then, not particularly wanting to revisit the fact he had to turn poor Frosty back into regular snow. "Queen Elsa?" the spirit repeated the name, unfamiliar with it. He paused for a moment, only snapping out of his thoughts when the creature inquired his own name. "Oh, uh, I'm Jack Frost," he stated casually with a shrug, "you know, the guy who brings the winter season. Old Man Winter, I guess is another name. Or something like that."
