Chinese artist Zhang Xiangxi creates these incredible miniature replicas of rooms inside the shells of discarded vintage TV sets. His attention to detail, when recreating a train car or a luxury apartment, might fool you into thinking you are waiting for a TV show to start, but in reality you are looking at his intricate set designs that aim to capture reality inside a TV.

Several years ago, Forbes Magazine listed the advanced degrees with the worst job prospects—and a master’s in library sciences was No. 1 on the list. Despite that gloomy prediction and some staid image problems, young librarians say their work is relevant in the 21st Century and is as needed now as it has ever been.
“You say, I’m going to library school, and everybody is like, ‘Well, aren’t libraries kind of over? What are you going to be doing?’” said 34-year-old Jay Granger, a management and library and information sciences student in the online program at the University of Southern California.

Aloha! ʻUluʻulu Moving Image Archive at the University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu is pleased to accept applications for the Summer 2016 Roselani Media Preservation Internship. ʻUluʻulu is Hawaiʻi’s official state archive for moving images dedicated to the care, preservation, and digitization of film and videotape related to the history and culture of Hawaiʻi. The 2016 Roselani Intern will receive a $3,000 stipend and the opportunity to acquire practical experience in a moving image archive during this 6-8 week internship. Right now, it’s this time of the year, and the little ones have just freshly hatched:
You’ll notice they’re still blind and naked when they hatch. So I make them little coats to keep them warm during their first winter:
See how they happily line up to put them on:
See? Better. Now they’re ready to go and explore the world.
And if they make it through the winter and we take good care of them, they will grow up to be strong and wise like their older fellows:

Finished the little guy (BB-8 from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer). Ended up going the route of joining each row instead of spiraling around. Also connected the head with two buttons and some yarn to make it swivel. (I’ll upload a slightly better picture tomorrow when the lighting is better)
