She doesn't quite get it, it seems. Although it does look like Hatate was and is concerned for her well-being, which is... well, admittedly, it makes Aya a bit happy, for some reason...

"I... appreciate the offer, but I can't. When I said I 'revoked my tengu rights', I meant it. I'm no longer in a place to have anything to do with the village, so returning even just to visit your place is... likely to cause problems. That would be why I haven't been visiting since."

"Oh, but don't worry about my living conditions; I've been allowed to stay at Miss Kazami's house while I work for her, at least for the time being. She's been quite kind about the whole thing, more so than you might expect, really..."

"O-oh, you're not planning to come back?" Admittedly, that does upset Hatate somewhat. It's weird not having her biggest rival nearby. This doesn't leave Hatate with too many options.

"Wow I can't believe you're leaving me behind like that." Being defensive was not one of those options gjkfdhdg. "But geez fine, I guess I'm glad you've been staying somewhere safe and that she's been nice to you."

She's not very good at hiding how upset she is btw. "So... Am I allowed to at least come visit you? I know we hate each other but that doesn't mean I want you gone."

Well... Maybe she just wasn't bothered enough to check. Right, it's not like there's really a reason for her to be all too concerned about Aya or anything.

"I did, actually. I wanted to take a long break, so I... er, left the village and, as a certain 'Miss Iizunamaru' would put it, revoked my tengu rights. Currently I'm working for Kazami Yuuka, helping her out with her garden and such..."

Well, mostly working as a scarecrow, but still.

Yeah, she's more or less the same as ever... Man, if it were anyone else, Aya would be glad to fight back, but it would just feel like bullying here...

Yeah, she has a lot of questions. Surely she wasn't sent by the higher-ups; there are much more suitable options for that if they really cared to have her... detained, or whatnot.

Tentatively stepping over to Hatate and nudging her with her foot to make sure she isn't injured from the fall. She's a tengu, so she's probably fine, but you never know with this one...

Hatate quickly jumps up. "I am perfectly fine!" She is not. "I've been waiting for this moment Aya. I haven't seen you in so long, and thus I've been having a training arc of my own in the meantime. I'm way stronger than I used to be you know!"

"Let me show you what I'm made of!" Hatate goes to punch Aya but uh... she pulls a muscle in her side.

"Ow my side!!! What the hell!?"
