hello again folks!! i’m looking for kasen here to build some relationships, as well as for her to do some Interesting Things. of course i’m also down for just letting things happen organically and without really much plotting on anyone’s part, but i’m more likely to keep interest (and probably you are too) if there’s something cool and agreed upon by everyone.

that said, i’m not really placing a cap on this for now, so feel free to go wild and i’ll surely be contacting via ask or if i have you on twitter or something. if there’s anything specific you’ve had in mind by all means don’t hesitate to say so!!

giving this ad a like will also grant me permission to do the following:

throw random starters at you (or if you prefer i can give you a heads up before doing so)

toss plenty of memes at you on meme days

holler at you when events roll around

without further ado, here’s a few possibilities (not to be limited to this of course, but i’m setting these out here):

✾ – friends! yeah, this is pretty straightforward. if you want someone who’ll give it to your muse straight, she’s the one. even if it’s not anything anyone wants to hear. she’s pretty painfully honest, except when it comes to things about herself. good luck getting her to open up about herself, though.

✾ – those she can mentor! i’m not exactly talking about subordinates per se, but if she has a good enough reason, she’d be willing to take someone under her watch. probably super effective in terms of instilling discipline (individual results may vary).

✾ – if you’re looking for a more antagonistic relationship, we can deliver as well! she’s incredibly meddlesome fwiw and if something is compelling enough to her, she’ll investigate. it may be helpful to note she tends to operate based on her own principles rather than any established standard of “good” or “evil”.

✾ – business partners! i’d generally apply it to the above, whereby she’s basically using this kind of a relationship as a guise to further observe someone questionable. but, this can also be applied in a friendlier context, i think??

anyway for the one major thing i had in mind for this, it isn’t so much her operating any kind of business for profit, but she wouldn’t mind someone to help her… do something. this will likely transpire after she gets her ability back, which leads to the next thing–

✾ – if your character is an animal come on down! her ability is guiding animals, and while she doesn’t have access to that currently, that doesn’t mean she won’t try her best to develop a good rapport with them for the future.

✾ – drinking partners! good luck trying to outdrink her, but she’s always down to converse over a round of drinks.

✾ – lastly and probably least, romantic interest? i don’t think this is very likely to happen, as she’s really not what she seems and she is really not direct and honest about herself. it’d likely turn into everyone screaming HECKIN BAMBOOZLED by the end of it. on the upside, she’s very kind and polite and diligent, but… as for her standards… good luck, lol. if that’s something you’d like to try, i’ll definitely need to discuss first as she’s… finicky. and as an aside it’s likely she’s at least many centuries old so please keep this in mind about anything

   Between running around to explore the island and witnessing the hullabaloo in the middle of the city, The Culprit hadn’t realized that it’d been so late into the day when he makes his way back to the center. Of course, touting along with a second person often means keeping an even pace, but the stern nurse who decided to accompany him isn’t breaking much of a sweat— good.

What isn’t good, on the other hand… is the roil and bubble underneath his fur. The type of sensation he often experiences when he’s being watched, and not by his current companion.

…THIS way. I think we’re bein’ followed.

Normally, he isn’t one to show all of his cards on the table, but… ugh, this paranoia is absolutely irritating. There’s two of them. They can surely handle this— but the impulsive feeling to throw it off without confrontation is stronger than logic—

He sharply turns. Quickens his pace. His footsteps are harder, almost deliberately so, and beat to the rhythm of two steps than four. The building up ahead seems an ample cage— loathe as he is to be in a cage as The Culprit, it’s as if that concern doesn’t currently faze him in the form he takes.

Once Nightingale enters, he closes the door. The warmth of the setting sun dissipates, causing the shadow of the nearby window to eclipse over their own, and he quickly moves out of the way of it, just out of the range of the door’s swing.

Pressed against the wall is the form of a golden-eyed Nightingale, whose gaze is currently fixed on the other’s gun as if urging it to be used…

   Only recently had the Berserker been caught up to speed about the events that transpired at the center of town, her informant being an odd one to be seen running around with.  Apparently both are meant to go back in order to receive items from she knows to be a mechanical lifeform, but their path is changed when he brings to her attention a follower.

 Truthfully she saw no need to worry about such a thing, but she only gives a short huff as a response before making way into the crumbling building. Her patience was already stretched thin enough, but the occurrence of her acquaintance taking a form similar to her own was enough to make her ignore the idea of silence. There’s a good reason why she’s not an Assassin.

 A simple glance at her gun wasn’t enough to make her understand, and eventually the stranger was left looking in on a scene of a woman scolding what appeared to be a copy of herself. Unfortunately, Nightingale takes note of the other, a crimson gaze looking them over and over. It was even more unfortunate that she spots the glimpse of the bandaged arm, immediately approaching.

Kasen raises her brows, her left hand shifting to grasp onto those bandages wrapped around the misty void that’s her arm. But this is not something that can (or should) be revealed. Ever since her arrival here, it feels strangely corporeal, and at this point she’s too afraid to sate her curiosity. There is no immediate cause for alarm, though; the box is performing its function, that of keeping her arm from rotting completely. It’s still just an old injury, as she always says to anyone else who asks.

A bit of nervousness stays with her as she tries to laugh it off. “Ahh, no, I wasn’t. I’m perfectly fine.” An old injury, indeed. Exercising the same caution as before, she maintains her position and notes not just the one approaching her, but also a similar figure in the background. Just what is it about this one that draws her concern, she can’t immediately discern; yet her gaze remains fixed on them as she fumbles for a moment to figure this out.

She reminds herself that staring is rude and she immediately returns to further answer this woman before her. If nothing else, those stray mentions of the occult catch her interest -- on a mysterious island as this, such a thing may hold some significance, even if such a thing doesn’t play by the same rules as in Gensokyo.

“I’m sorry for interrupting.” Her tone, though serious, is gentle through and through. “I was concerned that there were some animals that were displaced in the commotion. My senses must have led me astray, it seems. You wouldn’t have happened to find any in need of attention?”
