The Hunters Guild was relatively quiet that evening. Most had gone to their chambers or were drowning their losses in wine or ale. Thomas Ifrin, playing his part as the barkeep that night, was busy polishing tankards. Though he was a hunter himself, his attire suggested he was closer to a nobleman than anything. He always dressed a little fancier than those around him, probably to distract them from his red skin, short black claws, or the two small horns protruding from his forehead.
Suddenly, a stranger walked through the front doors and entered the main hall. Considering the time of night, he doubted it could be an adventurer looking to hire⌠Nonetheless, he motioned the person over to him, a gentle smile gracing his face under his slightly twirled mustache.
The small female seemed elven yet her hair was quite short and coloured purple her dress was long and black and she carried a sachel yet nothong else.
Seeing the barkeeper she walked over and gave a small smile in return. Not even phased at what he was.
âUh hello. Iâm a little lost.â She smiled softly âcould you possibly tell me the town Iâm in?â
"Certainly, miss. You are in the town of Swordsong, also known as the 'City of Blades'. And the building you currently are standing in," he took out a small roll of parchment from his trouser pocket and handed it to the young lady. "Is the Hunters Guild, made of men and women who would hunt the true monsters of the world."
The parchment he gave her contained a small painting of the Guild's emblem. He continues polishing a tankard as he eyed the woman. She was elven, so it seemed, and lost. Certainly not highborn, or she would have an escort, unless something killed her traveling party...
"What brings you out here, Miss? Nothing but hunters, mages, sellswords and thieves in these parts. Are you seeking something...or someone?"
