Rarely does your bedroom simply serve as a bedroom. It can become your office, your garden, your gym, your rehearsal space, your library, and your art studio all throughout the course of a day. It becomes whatever you need it to be while trying to keep your spirits up amid the loneliness of sheltering in place.
Tumblr Creatr Thoka Maer (@thokamaer) illustrates how keeping occupied with your interests and hobbies helps the hours pass when isolation makes time feel like itās standing still.
Happy Motherās Day to all you moms and momās to be out there.Ā
So very excited to share this piece I got to work on with @tonydeluxxx for the @nytimes. It is a series of personal accounts of people who have fallen sick with Covid-19, including my own. Iāve always been in love with any sort of rear window kind of narrative and was beyond stoked to utilize this trope for such a current and relevant story.
When Breath Becomes Air: Not my kind of book but it was very insightful but also utterly tragic. A Gentleman in Moscow: Yes, very readable. The Plague: Has one of my all time favs and now one of four books I read for a second time.

This is the first out of many posts to come from a project I got to work on for @audubonsociety. A comprehensive guide to action on climate change. Iām very grateful to have been given this opportunity and to work with such a dedicated team on a topic that relevant to all of us. 15 pages and a partly animated online edition! More soon.

August reads. Countdown: This one makes sure you feel terrible about humanity in various ways. Der Spieler: Reads a like D. wrote in the car on his way to work.
September reads. We: A more poetic version of Brave New World The Future of Humanity: I would have loooooved this book as a 12yrs old!
June reads.
Review: The Storytelling Animal: Itās a vegan cookie of a read. Light, sweet and kinda ok. The Wisdom of Insecurity: Yes! Aged well and provided me with an unexpected insightful perspective on religion. Damascus Nights: Yeeeees! Iāve always loved middle eastern storytelling. This is a delicious one.Ā
