I gave birth to a baby boy march 8th. I did not have an epidural or IV pain meds this time and boy oh boy. It's crazy how the pain meds don't really get rid of the pain, but it just doesn't bother you. This time I felt the same pain but it was killing me. I was screaming and cursing and being so dramatic. I probably scared the other mommies on the L&D floor. My son is amazing. My placenta did not come out completely so the doctors had to scrape it out of me....they numbed me, well they say they did. I felt it all. I was not coping well at all until he told me "if you don't relax I'll have to take you to the operating room." That scared some sense into me and I started focusing on my beautiful baby on my chest. It's amazing how much easier this healing is than last time. I have absolutely no vaginal pain. Like zero. None. It's the craziest thing to me because last time I could barely sit down. Last time I had to ask my husband if my vagina was still there. I do feel weak in my hip area but I think that's just something that comes with all of the trauma. I'm just really happy to not need pain meds or stool softeners. Breastfeeding is not as easy as it was last time. This baby is very fussy and keeps falling asleep at the breast. I think my daughter did as well but idk this time it's so much harder because I had nothing but time last time, this time I have to tend to her still. I think that's the end of my random haven't been on Tumblr in forever post. ...well I get on everyday but I don't post. I need to change that.
