I don't know if this is a covid brain thing, but I think one of the reasons I've been struggling to write is that I know what I mean, but sometimes when I read over a paragraph, I feel like I haven't made the logical connections someone else would need. And then I'm like--okay, but I know what I mean, what am I supposed to say to connect these ideas? (And if I can't be clear, I'm going to be misunderstood and someone's going to get upset with me, my panicky ND brain insists.) I can tell some kind of rhetorical connective tissue is missing, but I can't figure out what it is, until I've written the thing from scratch three different ways and finally I go, YES, this is what I was trying to say, probably.
