When I was still hanging out with my old friends, I was holding one of their hands like we usually do. My relationship with her was strictly platonic, but a person in my friend group kept saying “oh she’s cheating on her crush because you technically identify as a man so therefore she’s cheating.” Like as if it had to take a man and a woman in order for something like holding hands to be considered romantic. I tried to explain that I’m aroace and uninterested in dating but he just said “well they could still experience attraction” and I was really pissed off about it.

I've seen Someone saying that a mlm couple should have been wlw cause they were "tired of yaoi"... Does this count or nah i genuienly don't know

a while ago, when me and my younger brother were discussing the orientation of one of the characters in his novel wip, our older brother ended up joining the conversation. the character in question is asexual and heteroromantic(so this might be more so aphobia but the broader implication of what was said makes me think this is homophobia), fyi

my older brother(cishet and homophobic but as in 'it's a sin but no greater of a sin than others') regularly calls men who are even slightly feminine 'twinks' (for example, who they chose to cast as achilles in the new odyssey movie) and i don't know if it's necessarily in an insulting way but he's certainly never used it in a complimentary way. like if i had to describe his use of twink it's more as a tool for a punchline than anything else.

Idk if you do transphobia but is it transphobic to misgender everyone as a trauma response? Assuming the person isn’t lying?

Seeing people complain nonstop about “Yaoislop” and “Yurislop” only to turn around and call a M/F ship that has the exact same writing “Hetgem” 😑

Is it internalized biphobia if I'm technically asexual and bisexual (if I ever feel sexual attraction, it is to men and nonbinary people regardless of genitalia) but identify solely as gay due to how I'm homoromantic?

When I came out to my friend who I had a short-lived societal crush on as gay, (not NB yet), he visibly backed away. We were going to his house with some other friends for a hangout and everything was normal there, but it hasn't left my mind yet.

I used to be very close to this person and they knew that that i was gay and a trans man. They kept telling me that I wasn’t gay, i was a lesbian??? Idek how to classify this because they weren’t telling me I was a straight woman so it isn’t full on transphobia. But i am also a man and kept telling him i was as uncomfortable being called a lesbian because i am not one and looking back feels homophobic. Did he listen? No. He also would call me the f slur often as a “joke” so like :/ he claimed to hate everyone equally so thats why he wasn’t homophobic in his eyes. (He did this same thing with racism and sexism) Not a good person.

Like 5 of my male friends (and some female friends who I think are actually lesbian) joke about how they're lesbian ALL THE TIME and as far as i'm aware (I asked them) they're all cis guys and it's really weird as a NB person who identifies as lesbian (bisexual), but I can't call them out for it for a bunch of reasons I don't want to explain. mainly it would just be really weird especially because I think they think I'm just an any/all cis person who likes guys
