Updates

As some of you may know, I finish school in May. Since I don’t plan on doing grad school, I’ll be moving on to the real world. This means I’ll need a real person job.

After lots of deliberation over many different factors, my girlfriend and I have decided that the best place for both of us may be St. Louis. There’s a school up there with a great PT grad program for her, and there’s a circus school up there that I’ll hopefully be able to get a job at. This school also has a trapeze rig, and a few of the employees are alumni of my current circus, so I already have a foot in the door there! I’ve been talking with them, including the one who runs the rig, and while nothing is set in stone, it looks like things will line up fairly well for me there in the near future. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

If this works out, it’ll be perfect for me. I’ll be working for a place where I can fly, coach and work, and there will hopefully be room for me to climb into a management position in the future.

There are a lot of scary, exciting, big and new things on the horizon, and I’m looking forward to all of them, but at the same time, I’m trying to focus on where I am now. Nevertheless, I’m excited for everything!

Today's practice 11/9

Today was a great day flying! While the trick itself is still kind of inconsistent, (working on that) we still caught and returned every single forward over today! Very rarely do I have a 100% practice, so today I felt pretty good. And my coach said another practice or two like that and I can start working another new trick. Fingers crossed!!
