So, 3 years ago, I started a Clinical Research degree program (Associates of Applied Science). Yesterday (May 20, 2026), I walked for my graduation ceremony. This upcoming summer semesterβ¦ Iβm going to be starting an internship.
I never thought Iβd ever go back to school (I already have a BA, but things didnβt work out considering how low my GPA was for my pre-diagnosis bachelors degree), let alone attend a second graduation ceremonyβ¦ yesterday, I graduated with honors.
I got help for my ADHD and got on a treatment plan/regular therapy in 2021. I never thought Iβd be any good at school. And itβs hitting me today, a full 24 hours after walking for graduation yesterdayβ¦ I never truly thought Iβd be actually able to do it. Like most things in life, I figured Iβd give up on it at some point in time or another... Until I actually did it, one class at a time, one assignment and project at a time. One day at a time.
So⦠yeah. Just wanted to share.
I went from barely being able to graduate college, to having nearly a 4.0 GPA, and graduating with honors. Itβs never too late to try againβ¦ I hope my little (true) story helps someone out there.
