this is a whole combination of transphobia, sexism/misogyny and ableism but i think the best place is to share it here
i'm a perisex(??) trans guy. i say perisex with question marks because i have all of the signs of PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which many people do consider to be an intersex condition. however, my mother won't take me to get diagnosed (even though she also has PCOS) because 'she doesn't want to feel like she's given me her problems'. so i'm potentially intersex but i don't want to say it firmly without being diagnosed. if you want to take this as intersexism too then go ahead, just keep this in mind.
anyways. my parents both claim to be 'trans allies' but when i came out to them as trans they STRONGLY refused to accept it and said that i'm just a masculine woman. since i came out to them they keep emphasising that i'm their daughter, using feminine terms for me, buying me everything in pink or red, etc. now they've started claiming that they had me to help around the house and that's why they want me to be a woman and that when they're old they want me to return home to take care of them, which 'women do best' (which is quite misogynistic?? just as a whole). they give me jobs to do 'to prepare for when i have kids of my own' (which i doubt i will given what i've already mentioned), including jobs which are already a challenge for me because of chronic pain. when i bring up said pain, they tell me that 'the more i work the quicker it will go away' which i doubt considering i've been doing jobs for them for a while now and i'm still having to take ibuprofen almost daily.
anyways that's all i have to say. idk what goes through their heads but i am so ready to move out.
This is Transphobia, Intersexism, Misogyny, Ableism, the word i forgot how to spell (masculine version of transmisogyny), And Child Abuse.
Dude, theres a lot to unpack here. I hope you find a found family that accepts who you really are and that you find a good place especially with this housing crisis (depending on where you're at)
