Welcome to this-is-poly-joy!
This is a positivity-focused blog for polyamorous folks of all stripes! There will also be general positivity posts and helpful information for those who would like to learn more about polyamory and other forms of ethical nonmonogamy!
Who can participate?
Anyone who identifies under the polyamorous or ENM (ethical non-monogamy) umbrellas is welcome to send in submissions! People of all ages are welcome to participate.
I will refrain from posting an extended list of all those who are not welcome on this blog, but just know that this is not a place for bigots, or any community members who punch down or sideways. This is a place of acceptance and support!
What can I submit?
This blog accepts submissions from anyone who wishes to share their joyful poly experiences or just share a little love for the community. You can also tag me in other posts that are relevant to share here! I'm happy to help with answering questions about polyamory/ENM, but I may not be the best equipped to give advice on specific relationship problems.
If you see me interacting with someone problematic, feel free to let me know and I will course-correct, but I will not be publicly posting callouts or discourse on this blog. While I will attempt to respond to all good-faith submissions, hate asks will be deleted.
What do you mean, ENM "umbrella"?
I'm so glad you asked! There are a ton of different relationship types and approaches that fall under the term "polyamory" and even more if you include other types of ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships.
These two terms have a lot of overlap, but they aren't exactly synonymous. In short, ENM is a term that describes any relationship that involves more than two people with all members consenting, or people who choose not to pursue sexual/romantic relationships at all. Polyamory is a (slightly) more specific term that describes either an individual who desires relationships with multiple people, or describes many different styles of relationships that involve more than two people.
Who runs this blog?
My name is Cody! I'm in my mid 20's and use they/them pronouns. I have been in a poly relationship for almost 2 years, with a partner who has done polyamory for a decade. I am genderfluid, pansexual, neurodivergent, and disabled. I am also white and US-based.
