Fire on your feet?
Kumbhakarna merely smiled slightly, the child reminded him of his rash youth of how he used playful names. “I am, glad… and there are, many ways… to touch the clouds, yet to… dance with, them: now that’s something, I’d like to know… one day, and not… in my, dreams,” The giant mused. His inane tired ramblings seemed as though it was merely nonsense, yet in truth he was referring to his lost dream of ruling peacefully over the heavens.
The giant scratched his stomach, and groggily replied to Ne Zha, “Rakshasa… it is an unrighteous-” The giant suddenly interjected with a yawn before continuing, “-spirit…. in your tongue, kind of like… what, is known as… a demon… yet, not a demon. It’s the closest, thing… I can, compare… it to though, for.. outsiders.” And he continued with a hearty yet tired laugh, “Good to… meet you, too, Mister… Zha.” He purposely said it this way to joke with the seemingly young-being.
"Oh? I think… we’re all… odd and, different, and I know… that this strange, land I’ve come to… seems weird, to me. Yet, this… is the home, of… many, and so, I think… we’re the weird, ones… here. At least, to… them," The Rakshasa said and then finished with a tired laugh that was also mixed with a yawn. Kumbhakarna in truth, did not mind the youth’s lack of manners, he was still young, or seemingly in spirit he thought. He then continued with a faint smile on his face, "It’s alright, good… actually. My brother, wants me to keep, awake; so I can… fight, in the great… war, if need be… without too much, trouble to wake me… up."
Ne Zha blinked a few times as he listened to the giant and adopted a pensative look. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it again, settling for a nod. It seemed he understood Kumbhakarna's dreams in some way.
"A demon? Like a yaoguai? We have those back in China. They're, hmm... Usually bad spirits or fallen... Beings... who want immortality. Do you want to be immortal too? You don't look like a spirit to me, though. Too solid for that. Are you a good celestial guy or something who turned bad?" He scratched his head as he thought. "I wonder if fallen is a word that can be applied to you. With that size, no fall would be a big one..."
He yawned once again after the long speech and shook his head in an attempt to stay energetic. "Don't call me Mister! I'm just Ne Zha. Mister makes me think of old bearded men. Eugh."
"I'm not weird, though! You are. A bit. I mean, you're kinda big and there's spikes on your shoulder." He rode around the rakshasa, taking a look at him from every angle. "Plus there's those fangs. No offence, though." He stopped in front of Kumbhakarna and grinned at him.
"Who's your brother?" The young deity made a small show of looking around. "Is he big too? He's nowhere to be seen. Or maybe his really small and under a rock?" He interrupted his speech to rub his eyes. "Or is he like just a spirit inside you or something? That'd be cool."
