Watch the new fan-made short film titled MOCKINGJAY BURN directed by Leo Kei Angelos and starring Kristen Brancaccio as Katniss Everdeen. 

This is an incredibly well made short film with beautiful performances from the cast. It’s based on the District 8 bombings in the novel MOCKINGJAY, as well as a few other surprise scenes.

Many, many sites and companies take part in April Fools, including major companies and businesses such as Google and Samsung, as well as other fellow Hunger Games fansites. It’s something that is considered FUN and a way to put a little humor and frenzy in what has been a pretty quiet few months for the fandom. 

Basically, I just wanted to make this post to remind fans to: take a deep breath, put things into perspective and don’t take anything too seriously! We’re sorry for playing with your emotions and obviously, no harm was intended, we’re doing what we and many others have been doing for many years on this very day every year. This isn’t going to affect the way we report news in the future, nor will we discontinue our site in anyway or kill ourselves. But just receiving the messages that we did from some of our readers was really discouraging - no harm was intended.

Just enjoy the day for what it is, and know that once it hits April the 1st in many other countries, you’re in for a lot more from other people and sites than just fake global tour dates.
