Love on the beat

Pourquoi, partout, à tout moment, nous chercher du regard ailleurs qu’en nous-même ? Pourquoi est-il si difficile d’entrer en soi si c’est là, paraît-il, que nous sommes ? Je veux regarder mon âme. Je veux la voir avec toute ma pensée, même si ma pensée ne va pas jusque-là. Pourquoi un regard, un visage inconnu, en aurait-il seul le pouvoir ? Il est aisé d’éprouver de l’amour, ardu d’aimer.

You shouldn’t try to stop everything from happening. Sometimes you’re supposed to feel awkward. Sometimes you’re supposed to be vulnerable in front of people. Sometimes it’s necessary because it’s all part of you getting to the next part of yourself.

It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it.

You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.

Some people are as fragile as butterflies and sensitive and it’s your responsibility not to destroy them. Just because you can.
