Including books 0.1-0.3, these are definitely helpful to read ahead of the main books in the series.

But my favourite line was from Scheherazade... "I didn't like doing things I wasn't good at, but it turned out I loved learning how to love with him." This story hit me hard in the moment. From here until the 1001st night.

There would be a crazy element of mystery around Celaena if I didn't read books 0.1-0.5 of the series. Context is key and I think it would have made book 1-2 harder than it already was to get into.

Slow start, but just as it got fast paced and climatic, it just as quickly fell off the cliff 🤷🏾‍♀️

I can only describe this as a sweet botanical horror. It's one of those books where I feel like I watched it as a film, not as words on a page.

I quite enjoyed this little life adventure, and the only way I'd read a self-help book - by accident.

I loved all the main women in this book, but my favourite was Omelogor. Her bluntness told from other character perspectives initially felt too much but in her own chapters it made so much sense. Her reasons for nearly firing her personal chef, her offerings to other women, ways to thank her - I actually admired it, admired her. So I think it cut me in the same way when her happiness way questioned. "Don't pretend that you like the life you are living." It made me question myself too. But if you could see the beach I read this book on, I cannot complain about too much or for too long.

The speediest read of my year so far. Perhaps because the main character reminded me of my nan 🕊. As much as I loved when she was of complete sound mind, I miss her moments of clarity in the fog and smiled when she recognised us again, only briefly. Anyway the book itself, 100% admired her dedication to the search even if she was a little misguided.

A Ugandan mythological fantasy novella... so glad this was a quick read because my curiosity would not have held up for much longer. Weird and only slightly intriguing.

100% preferred the film, I was able to connect with the on-screen characters better. I think you get a better sense of the pain there too.

I enjoyed this adventure until it was about to end. I understood the intention of HOW the end was written but I still had to look up an explanation of WHAT I just read.

I was gripped! The reveal. The secrets. She needs to complete the second book asap because I have QUESTIONS!

Last book of 2025 and wow it took me forever. I started this book back in February. The first 80%, I was over it. The last 20% a delight, but maybe because it was the home stretch and things were actually changing 🤷🏾‍♀️
