The Better Half

I know I’ve been MIA the last month or so. I’m trying to get back into Kat (and co’s) mind(s) but life IRL has been insane since getting home from visiting warrenwitches. I just started back at my old job and so much has changed…for the worse. So I am emotionally and physically exhausted after last night and I have another two nights closing to go.

You’ll start seeing some replies slowly trickling out that have been in my drafts for way too long. When I am done with them if you don’t see a post you’ve been waiting on, please message me. My drafts have been eating themselves and I’m having a hard time finding some things. It’s also possible I didn’t see your reply. I will make a post when I am finished to let you all know.

If you want to drop these older threads, that’s completely fine. I’m just trying to answer some of them to get my muse back. :) Again, I am sorry I’ve made you all wait so long. Life here has been interesting and it’s about to get a whole lot of lame since I’m not traveling anymore. The good news is Halloween is right around the corner. :) Yay!

‘’Oh really, then who did? There’s no one else here you know.’’

❝Hey dad,❞ Kat called after him down the hall. She took a few quick steps to catch up to him.

Melinda was studying all the medical books  she owned. Today had been a crazy day at the hospital. A patient came in with rare  symptoms and even the attendings  couldn’t figure out what to diagnose this woman with. The person who figured it out was getting on  the case immediately and that was a change Melinda wanted to take. She looked up as the front door opened. She  offered her cousin a smile. “Hey Kat, how are  you?” 

❝Frustrated,❞ was the redhead’s one word reply. Dragging  herself  around  the  table she leaned over the back of her  cousin’s  chair to wrap her arms around her in a greeting hug. Peeking over her should she perked up slightly when she took in the books on the table.
