“It was crazy girl, Ladybug and chat noir saved the day without even trying. You should have seen it.” Alya raved as she talked to her blunette designer friend.
Marinette nodded as she worked on sketches for new designs. Having the famous designer Sabine Cheng as your mom gave Marinette a certain talent for designing.
“Working on your designs as always Princess?” A certain cheeky blonde commented.
Marinette looked up to see her classmate, Adrien grinning as he approached.
“Hey Adrien, shouldn’t you be working on your science work?” Marinette asked slightly annoyed by the nickname he gave her. “If I remember correctly, your flirting distracted you from finishing the assignment.”
“What can I say, I was more focused on the Chemistry between us.” Adrien cooed.
Alya and Marinette rolled there eyes at the comment, thankfully his best friend Nino managed to walk by.
“Hey ladies, sorry I am late. Adrien over here left me to clean up the beakers.” Nino explained.
“You said you could handle it.”
“Thats because I didn’t want to listen to the pick up lines you have been working on.”
“You say one cringe worthy pick up line about Neon and suddenly you don’t want to clean beakers with your buddy. I honestly thought it was a Noble Gasser.” Adrien retorted.
Nino and Alya cringed at the pun while, Marinette stifled a laugh at the exchange. Marinette hated to admit that the flirt could actually make her laugh sometimes. But she would never admit it.
Suddenly a limo arrives and Marinette gets up.
“And that is my ride. Ill catch you guys later.” Marinette said as she walks to the Limo and puts on sunglasses. She closes the door behind her to see her mother sitting in the limo smiling at her.
“Mom? You are back early? I thought you would be in Milan for a few more days?” Marinette asked in surprise.
“The show went smoother then expected and I was able to get the designs out without a hitch. I honestly don’t understand why you won’t let me sell your designs yet. You are already on par with most of my top designers.” Her mother said as she hugged her daughter.
“I want to wait until after I finish school. I want to make sure I am a designer on my own merit rather then yours.” Marinette explained.
Her mother sighed but smiled. She respected her daughter’s resolve to make her own name for herself. It was fitting that she would be like that.
“Alright dear. Who is that handsome blonde you were talking with? He seems like a nice boy.”
Marinette felt her self cringe a bit. She didn’t see that flirt as anything more then a friend, especially when there are amazing guys like Chat noir.
“He is alright, but he isn’t my type.” Marinette stated flatly.
“Alright dear. You know, when I was in Milan, I saw this woman wearing this outfit.” Sabine smiled as she pulled out her phone.
Marinette glanced at the photo and laughed.
“Oh my goodness she looks like she is a traffic cone.” Marinette laughed.
Sabine and Marinette spent the ride pointing out all of the issues with the outfit.
The night sky air graced the blonde superhero’s face. The black cat hero ran from rooftop to rooftop with utter grace.
He really needed the air today. He had been doing his best to win over Marinette.
He knew he was a comedic flirt when he was in his civilian form, but he just wished Marinette would take his advances more seriously. He was hoping she would notice how he stopped flirting with every girl in class, except for her. How he tried to help her with the assignment, (which caused the beaker incident because he left it unoccupied) But he could feel she wasn’t taking him seriously
But that changed when he transformed. He could be taken seriously. He was respected, and loved. It was great.
As he was running he noticed a red clad heroine coming in too fast. Thankfully, his cat-like reflexes kicked in and he easily maneuvered to catch her and land on his two feet.
“Caught you. Are you alright Ladybug.” Chat noir asked as he looked at the dazed heroine.
Ladybug quickly shot up from his arms, her face a lovely shade of scarlet.
“Th-Thank you Chat, I guess I didn’t realize I was going too fast.” Ladybug stammered as she looked at the ground. The truth was she had seen him run past her balcony and wanted to meet up with him. She took a short cut, and when she saw him, she over stepped and nearly toppled into him.
“No problem, Ill always be there when you need me.” Chat smiled causing the girl to glow a brighter red. “How about we go on patrol together, since you are out with me.
Ladybug eagerly agreed and stayed close as the cat ran from rooftop to rooftop.
She watched how he watched over the city, it was the gaze of someone who saw value in every part of the city. He was so calm and collected, so polite, and yet so unbelievably attractive in black leather. Ladybug had fallen hard for this cat.
The night was quiet, no real crimes to be stopped, but Chat noir did manage to save a cat from being run over by a car.
“It seems like it is a quiet night and my ring is starting to run low on power. I believe this would be a great time to call it a night.” Chat noir suggested calmly.
Ladybug wished the night didn’t have to end.
“Okay. T-this was nice you know. Just the two of us, watching over the city. Maybe we could do it again? If you don’t mind.” Ladybug whispered nervously.
Chat noir looked at the heroine. He used his hand to gently raise her chin to look into her eyes. He smiled softly as he took her hand and raised it to his lips. Ladybug felt her face burn hot like the sun at the gesture
“That sound great. On another night, My lady.” Chat noir purred just before he vanished. Leaving the blunette hero on the roof, replaying the moment.
“He called me his lady.” The heroine gushed before leaving. Her smiled infectious.
(What do you guys think? What should this au be called?
