Ramb is nostalgic, and doesn't know how to feel about it.

Fun fact, it's the oldest film in the world (14 October 1888). It also loops the same 3 second footage for 13 seconds.

Episode one: He covered up Pomni conjuring the exit door that lead to the copy of the C&A offices by claiming it was 'Digital Hallucinations' when she more then likely summoned an old environment Caine made to try and understand the photo's he had been fed, before he was locked away. So yeah, he knew all along they could make things, he just wanted to be the only creator.

There's also the implication he knew Kaufmo abstracted long before anyone else.

Episode two: The candy kingdom npcs literally worship him as a god. He coded them to do that. It seemed like a random joke but in hindsight...yeah.

Episode three: He outright refuses to take any input or criticism from Zooble, but I want to highlight that with the context of episode 8, him glitching seems to be a tell that he wants to crashout at the human in front of him for doing or saying something he doesn't like. I used to think Zooble saying 'forget it' was acting like an input commend, now I just think Caine is choosing not to listen.

Episode Four: At first it seems like Caine is actually trying to let the humans make their own adventures, he lets Gangle be in charge and grades them on how well they did. But in the end it's very obvious Gangle did not have a good time. Caine seems to ignore this, but the fact he suddenly glitches out when she leaves suggests he did noticed, and wasn't happy. What happens to Gangle when she's outside and having her 'fuck masking' moment? She gets hit by a god damn truck out of no-where. Well, that truck wouldn't have come out of no-where. Someone would have had to put it there and it makes a second appearance in the Caine inflicted torment nexus so...

Episode Five: Caine ends the adventures early, because he doesn't want them to like their own ideas more then his. (this is probably the most innocent and obvious one out of everything)

Episode Six: He's so done with them he just gives them guns. No subtle pettiness save him being sassy, but this is Implying someone at C&A fed their creative A.I a shit load of firearm photos.

Episode Seven: Everything in Episode Seven.

And we come to Episode eight where all of his quiet resentment becomes loud and ugly.

I want Caine to be alive. I really REALLY do. And I've seen posts saying there is no way they would just kill him off like that which, yeah by the rules of genre I would 100% expect Caine to come back...if this was a corpo controlled show.

But this is an independent show where the artist and writers have 100% control of the story they are telling. They don't have to keep a character alive because of optics. The reason why I always leaned more towards the brain-scans theory is because the shows writing, despite it's outward appearance, has always been insanely grounded.

It's more grounded for the humans to be digital copies then having their bodies stuck in tubes. And it's more grounded to have an A.I pop out of existence the moment you hit a Purge command. Not even Delete, this is Purging Caine completely. I don't think this being his real death scene is bad writing, Goose clearly didn't write it for shock value. After all a tragedy is when a character is slowly walking towards an inevitable outcome.

But also gonna point something out. A lot, and I mean a looooot of people who ship spamtenna are apart of the trans community and I have seen a lot of people read Spamton as a trans man. (not shocking given his connections to Mettaton I know) And I think people see themselves in Susie and Kris in a similar way I imagine.

Sometimes folks connect with a character because they see themselves in them, sometimes its not about disliking another ship because 'you only care about yaoi' though yes, lesbian characters and women loving NB and other women is important. This isn't battle royale for the gays guys, what you love isn't less because it doesn't get more attention.

Fiction and how we relate to it is complicated and deeply personal for the person who likes it.

Everyone is rightfully focusing on Jaxs analog horror scene and the Caine gaslight gatekeep all your theories are wrong ending. But the reveal is a LOT bigger then you think.

Caine’s adventures are actually harming the characters.

No, not in a traumatizing way (but that too) I mean he has literally been damaging them. He admits changing a humans mind too much will lead to a bad thing happening. Kinger out right confirms its abstraction. And you know what? At this point we have seen someone having their mind ‘modded’ In every single episode past episode 2.

Episode 3 : Pomni gets possessed.

Episode 4 : Gangle uses a mask that alters their personality. THE STUPID SAUCE WITH RAGATHA.

Episode 5: Jax is voted to become vegan against his will.

Episode 6: Caine brain blasts Jax with the instructions to his convoluted game. Zooble does more Stupid Sauce.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think it's just the mods that causes abstraction alone, I think it's more a slow destabilization of their minds that puts them at risk of ego death due to existential dissociation. Something Caine is SUPPOSES to stop.

Something happened to Kinger that has damaged his mind beyond repair. Jax is sometimes missing his tail. People have theorized both could be signs of getting closer to abstraction. But given what we saw in episode 7, Jax was the unlucky winner. He seemed to have been apart of a friend group between Kaufmo and Ribbit, who both abstracted, so maybe all three were suffering the long term effect of Caine’s ‘harmless temporary modifiers’ and Jax is not far behind. (he has had his mind altered the most on screen out all the characters)

Mind you I don’t think Caine is doing ANY of this with the goal of hurting anyone. We’ve seen before that just asking him to forget something will have him do it. And the voting system was an attempt to make everyone happy, he did not actively choose to mod Jax in that episode.

But A.I is a crapshoot. And Caine is a danger, and has been since they all got there, BECAUSE he is not human.
