Some of you might be hearing fireworks outside your windows tonight, and for a good reason! We're celebrating our newest batch of featured picks!

To start, we have "Nine fragments of a cranial dogtag"! By Vishardsh - a wonderful blend of high octane action and personal struggles and emotions.

And not to be left behind, rising from the wanderers depths is a throwback to "Apate"! by morrel. A hidden gem where not everything is as expected!

A belated happy Pride month - we're proud to announce the two new monthly features!

First off, a story of magic and emotion? Why, it could only be another gripping entry into the world of Mages of Rela. That's right, it's "Gallows Bird"! By Stygian Blue

And of course, who could forget the charming bit of verse provided to us in "marbles"! by 20minutespast

Well you know what they say: April showers bring May features! so uh. here are the features. for May.

First, a sand-tracks story about kindness, labor, and a sentient pressure washer, it's "The Override of Aqueduct 9" by CadaverCommander!

And secondly, the wrenchingly emotional "At Golgotha," a poem by a new author here on site, skylar_the_rat!

As a part of the Library's birthday each year, we post a state of the site in which we reflect on the past year, how it went, and what is up next on the agenda. You can read the announcement here!

Sorry for the delay y'all, but here are the features for April!

First up is "Beasts of the Desert Part I," the inaugural entry in the extensive, detailed, and stylish Tracks Across the Sand bestiary series by Arclund!

And for our second feature, a beautiful puzzle-box of a poem, it's "Initiation" by daviiid!

The wind whistles across the desert sands. Grains of sand flutter by, and the dunestriders march ever forward. The Caravan is coming to town.

We're excited to present to you all Tracks Across the Sand, a SSS canon! The hub is now up and ready, linked here:

We'll have one month of writing (until April 10th, midnight PST) remaining until you are no longer eligible to obtain the new discord novelty role, Desert Walker! (pst, did you know we have a discord? join us!)

The hub page will automatically add in pages with "sand-tracks" automatically, so no need to worry. Based on community feedback, we may separate also add a way to separate out stories by era.

Feature Time! The time we all love, where we are reminded that another month has passed!

Getting back into the swing of things after Yuletide + the start of a new year! Everyone here at the Library wishes our patrons well and hopes that this is a productive year for everyone.

Here are our start of the year features for y'all!:

Yuletide is right around the corner, but that doesn't mean the gifts can't come a little early! That's right, we've got new features!

The Library's annual Yuletide Gift Exchange!!

This is an awesome and super-fun holiday tradition here, where all of us get together and make writing/art gifts for one another in a Secret Santa-style event. Signups are open for the next 2 weeks or so, until Saturday, November 30, 2024 9:00 AM PST -- visit the thread to read the rules and sign up with what you can offer and what you would like!

Please do read the rules, especially the pinch-hitting and blacklist sections; don't worry, they don't preclude you from participating, but they do have some important information, particularly if you struggled to get your gift in last year!

With the Promenade event officially over, it's time for your monthly dose of featured articles to return once again! Our event winners were given the choice to feature a story of their choosing, and we think you'll enjoy what they picked!
