The Walking Dead: Haven Recap

Two survivors, Karen and Finn, stumble across a bandit and his young ward while searching for supplies on a Nebraskan interstate.

While thing initially start ugly with the duo knocked out and captured by the unlikely thugs, known as Mal and Annie, the two pairs eventually decide to link up and look for supplies together so they can both survive.

However, Finn and Mal have a heavy distrust of each other, which is heavily intensified by the discovery that Mal has a radio and is seemingly in league with another group. Finn confronts the man and the two brawl, but are split up when the group is attacked by walkers.

They fend off the walkers together - Finn and Karen saving Mal’s and Annie’s lives, earning their trust a little more. Karen bonds with Mal and Annie overnight, but the next morning they are approached by a mysterious one-armed man.

The man introduces himself as Ray and is joined by his two sons Austin and Noah. He is searching for someone to help him rescue his daughter Phoebe from a community holding her hostage, and is willing to share a cache of supplies with the group if they help.

Eventually they agree to Ray's terms and arm themselves up, but Mal and Finn are both sceptical of Ray and his intentions. Regardless, the group of seven head to infiltrate the community and rescue Phoebe.

Yup, this comic's dead. Thanks for getting my hopes up. You know there are people who actually look forward to these things, and you're basically saying fuck you to them by just leaving us hanging and just shitposting like nothing happened. Don't start something if you're not gonna finish it.

Yes, and you are basically saying 'fuck you' to us without taking into account how much time it took for us to make what we did and how many hours we put in, with outside factors on top of that. We have jobs and better things to do than slave over a project for greedy and selfish people like you who will insult us at the drop of a hat when you don't get your way.You can also say people were looking forward to it but barely anyone supported the project while we were working on it, so forgive me if our motivation dropped significantly. If you were around back then, maybe you could've pulled your finger out of your ass and done something and it might have made us more motivated.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Works both ways.

Guess this comic's dead huh? Shame, I was looking forward to seeing how it ended, giving as I'm not really satisfied with any official TWD stories...

It’s not dead, there were a lot of external factors that put us on hiatus. We did talk the other day about carrying on at some point and I think we’d both like to, but things aren’t in the right place yet. A lot of work has to go into it between two people and it can be a real grind.

I can only speak for myself in that I have concerns about effort/response diminishing returns and lack of interest in TWD right now, the latter of which should be fixed when the new season of the show airs.
