Character Development Questions: Hard Mode

1.  Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?

Zelde - Zelde has a younger brother named Callaway who she’s quite close with. He’s probably the only member of her family she doesn’t hold any grievances towards.

Ravi - Ravi doesn’t really have any family members of a similar age with him - at least that he knows of. He doesn’t have any cousins through his mother and can’t be certain with his father as he was never part of his life.

Cordovan - He was born late into his parent’s marriage so any younger siblings were definitely unlikely. I’m not sure if he has any cousins through Raleigh but he definitely has at least two through Wren. Unfortunately, he doesn’t really see them much.

Let me just say, so far 4 is my favorite volume. I get why you said 3rd was your favorite one, it’s second half is on par with 4th for me, but I wasn’t really invested in the first one, tbh, because that tournament thing took up too much time, and I didn’t find it to be really that deserved. Volume 4 however? That’s the amount of backstory/character development I need. Everyone’s families, & characters getting their shit together & overcoming what has happened at their own rate - that’s what I like to see. 

Finally, Lie & Nora were expanded on more (tbh, before they were just sorta there & never made me feel much). It was actually very sweet, and I do care more about them now. Blake continues being my absolute favorite (whom I now ship with Sun, fyi). I am more hyped for her arc, than literally any other (except, maybe, for seeing more Raven - not in a “I’m rooting for her” kind of way, but because she is so intriguing). The thing, that struck me as odd at first, was how everyone seemed to have already gotten over Pyrra’s death - until I realized there’s been a timeskip of several months, something I managed to miss, & it all made sense. That way it actually looks really touching, how she still affects the characters (especially Jaune, bc Jaune is the most important boy in the world).

You were also right about the fighting scenes - the Qrow vs Tyrian one was fucking impressive. Oh, & yes, I am sympathetic towards Tyrian now, another one of your predictions was correct :ь I mean, geesh, that slashing his tail off really looked painful, & his breakdown afterwards was... Something. Who knows, maybe he will indeed be one of my faves one day.

(Oh yeah, & by the way, speaking of Qrow - I’m actually glad that theory about him being Ruby’s dead is not true, bc guess what? I NEED MY POSITIVE UNCLE-NIECE RELATIONSHIP REPRESENTATION, GUESS WHYYYYYY~ seriosuly though. Qrow & Gryff are rather different, but the uncle-niece dynamic? I can actually see something like that between him & Ros, specifically, after him being alienated from the family for years & for one reason or another reconecting with them again. Yes, I will always make everything about Gryff fucking Whitehil, friggin sue me- )
