My name is Nicki Stark 💜, and while my username may appear as The Velayra Verse, that is simply the name of the creative universe I've spent years lovingly building. It is not the name I go by. If we talk, create together, or simply get to know one another, I'd love for you to call me Nicki. 🌸
The Velayra Verse is much more than a collection of creative projects. It is a living world that has grown alongside me through years of dreaming, healing, learning, and creating. Every story 📖, every piece of artwork 🎨, every song 🎵, every creature 🦊, every game mechanic 🎮, and every quiet little corner of this universe exists because I believe creativity has the power to comfort people, inspire hope, and remind us that kindness is never wasted. My goal has never been to create content simply for the sake of creating more things. My hope has always been to build places that feel warm, welcoming, imaginative, and safe—little corners of the internet where people can breathe, smile, and perhaps even feel at home. ☕💜
One of the many stories unfolding within the Verse belongs to The Plush Crew 🧸✨, a growing family of original characters who bring warmth, humor, adventure, and heart into the worlds they inhabit. Although only a handful have properly introduced themselves so far, many more are patiently waiting behind the scenes for their stories to be told. Each carries their own personality, hopes, fears, strengths, and imperfections, and together they continue shaping the worlds they call home.
You may already know a few familiar faces. 🌙 Luna reminds us that kindness and healthy boundaries can walk hand in hand. 🌿 Ryn chases curiosity into every unexplored corner of the Verse. 🎨 Nova carries childlike wonder wherever inspiration blooms. 🦊 Foxxo somehow manages to fit impossible treasures inside an impossibly small backpack. 🍵 Kevin, caretaker of Kevin's Tea Nook, firmly believes that every difficult day can be softened with a warm cup of tea and a gentle smile.

As this universe has grown, so have I. One of the greatest lessons life has taught me is that healthy relationships—whether personal, professional, or creative—are built on communication rather than assumptions. For many years I believed people would naturally know how to treat one another with kindness and respect. Experience has taught me that this isn't always true. Rather than repeatedly explaining my values to every new person who enters my life, I've chosen to share them here, openly and honestly. This isn't directed toward any one individual, nor is it meant as a response to any single experience. It is simply the clearest expression of the kind of life, relationships, and community I hope to build. 🤍
I value honesty above comfort and believe that difficult conversations handled with kindness strengthen relationships far more than silence, avoidance, or dishonesty ever could. I don't expect perfection from anyone, including myself, because mistakes are part of being human. What matters to me is accountability, empathy, and a genuine willingness to repair harm when it occurs. I believe conflict is natural; cruelty is always a choice. Emotional manipulation, threats of abandonment, ridicule disguised as humor, dismissal of another person's feelings, or punishment through silence have no place in the relationships I choose to keep. Emotional safety isn't a luxury to me—it is one of the foundations upon which trust is built. 💜
The same philosophy extends into the community surrounding my work. I hope this remains a place where curiosity is encouraged ✨, creativity is celebrated 🎨, and people feel welcome regardless of where they come from. Thoughtful discussion, respectful disagreement, and constructive feedback will always have a place here. Harassment, cruelty, bigotry, intimidation, manipulation, and behavior intended to harm others will not. I believe communities flourish when people are allowed to grow, learn, apologize, and become better versions of themselves.
Everything I create is deeply personal to me. My stories, artwork, music, characters, games, and worldbuilding represent years of passion, learning, and love. Constructive feedback is always welcome when offered respectfully, but I ask that my work not be redistributed, claimed, commercially used, or altered without permission. Supporting my work helps me continue building this world, but it does not purchase ownership of my creativity, my time, or the stories I choose to tell. 🌙
The people—and creatures—I choose to love are also an important part of my life. Treating them with kindness is another way of showing respect to me. 💜 Likewise, I value my privacy and ask that my personal life, health, relationships, and private conversations remain just that—private. If I establish a boundary, I ask that it be respected rather than treated as something to negotiate around.
Finally, I want to acknowledge that the Velayra Verse continues to evolve. Like every living world, it changes as new ideas take root and new stories begin to bloom. 🌱 Some weeks you'll find polished artwork, original music, or major worldbuilding updates. Other weeks may simply bring a cozy sketch, a quiet reflection, another warm cup of tea shared inside Kevin's Tea Nook, or a sleepy fox returning home with another strange little treasure. 🦊🍵 That rhythm is intentional. I live with health challenges, and I've learned that building something meaningful often means allowing it to grow slowly rather than rushing toward an imagined finish line. My hope isn't simply to create quickly. My hope is to create something lasting.
