I literally love the vast so much, like I used to say the spiral is my favorite fear and I love and relate to the spiral, BUT THE VAST omg I love the vast. Things like infinity, the sea, the sky, space the things we cannot comprehend. we are so small and everything is so big and it's beautiful. It is not the fear of the end, the end when you hit the ground, run out of air, it is the fear there is no end it is so big and it will never stop, that you are inconsequential. It feels so free, so comforting to know that in relation to the vast of space, of the universe I truly do not matter.

an opportunity that I think TMA missed out on is addressing the fact that technically an avatar of the vast OR the buried could have the ocean as their thing. Drowning, the compression, claustrophobia, etc, versus the unknowable depths, weightless feeling of floating away forever. Anyway I think it would be really funny if two avatars started a turf war over a patch of open ocean, and the victims had some unholy combo of vertigo and the bends and felt endless yet trapped.
Better yet, they take their squabble to the institute. It’s basically a complaints department, right?
