The Unpublished Stuff

Some people don't realize how refreshing they are; a break from the rest whose gazes burn into your body, begging you to show more.

Most of the time I carve out

a poem from around 

an idea

and work with what I've got.

Other times I carve out 

a prose from around

a line

and work with what I've got.

But what do I do when 

all I've got is you

and a life's long overdue.

Please don't tell me 

to just work with what we've got,

because what have I got?

My my, it's nice to have some mystery surrounding me for the first time, I quite like it :) As for the poses, I've covered all the basic ones. I'm almost there with my crow pose and I suck at the rest of the advanced ones.. Do you practice yoga as well? 

You well know, that you

won't be the same again

Tomorrow, not even your sorrows-

before we lose to sleep 

and absurdity heals the scars deep

and in case we are replaced,

at least you'll have me to

pull you to the surface.

So pour me a cup of your thoughts

and let me untie those knots

2 things I need to get off my chest:

1. I need to shut up in class.

One thing I absolutely despise is an unresponsive bunch of learners. That's one of the few things I abhor about this culture- no one speaks up for themselves, and I am not used to that. How is being quiet while the lecturer is asking a question good manners?! How am I the only living thing in the room that thinks it is RUDE not to answer? And because of that, I end up responding to the poor lecturer every 5 seconds, and DAMN IT, everyone hates me like I'm some kind of a show off. Not giving the answer when I know it makes me feel like a dimwit and I hate that feeling. I usually wait 10 seconds, and that's about my level of patience with this culture of asdfghjklygducbeucbewjcbnjewd I CAN'T EVEN FREAKING DEAL. I should just shut up right? Blend in, and shut my God-given mouth. I'm sure it's sickening having to listen to my voice again and again, so why doesn't anyone take turns with me at least? asdfghjklgthjsfwgdhjhedcuecenjcnej

2. I need to shut up in class.

I can play mute for hours, but not when bullshit is being spewed all around me. Some lecturers just spit out nonsense and nothing makes sense. If you can't create smart, intelligent analogies, then don't even try. Because I will find a loophole and call you out from it. And when I open my friggin mouth I won't know how to stop even when my mind tells me it's no good to keep talking. And I'll end up being embarrassed not because my logic is wrong, but because no one has the friggin guts to back me up. So I'll end up looking like the rude student who thinks she's all that. DAMMIT YASMIN GET A GRIP.

Some cultural ideas should just die. Such as playing dumb and giggling after every word that comes out of the lecturer's mouth.
