Being a law student isn't always as easy as Elle Woods shows us in Legally Blonde, but there are some things I try to incoporate into my daily life - even during exam phase.

These small things will change your life as a student:

Don't cram.

I mean we all have been there. A big exam is coming up next week and you haven't even started yet. Pulling an all-nighter the day before the exam might work out once but is definitely not effective in the long run. So stop procrastination and set yourself a study schedule.

Silence isn't more powerful

You shouldn't listen to your favorite podcast while studying -obviously- but total silence has also never really worked for me. So try to put on some brown noice or some instrumental music and avoid the silence of the libary.

Never study in your bed

Studying usually requires a certain level of concentration. So if you learn in your bed on a regular basis, your subconscious will prepare itself for the next study session when you just want to sleep. Don't mess up your sleep schedule just because you are too lazy to get up to your desk.

Get some sleep

Being prepared for your exam is amazing but you shouldn't cut your sleep down. So instead of almost falling asleep during class, try to use the buffer time you have already planned into your study schedule.
