Strengthen desire: A time for Jesus every day, will have your day going HIS way.
Throughout the day I love to tell Jesus thank you and how grateful I am He lead me the right way when I was going through a time I thought I could do everything by myself. After deciding to surrender my life, problems, school, and everything else to God my life became a lot less hectic. In my walk with Jesus He has and continues to show me that He has control over my life with tests, blessings, and consequences to my disobedience. He never leaves me alone and desires for my success. Jeremiah29:11-13
One day in particular April 27th I went to Good Morning Holy Spirit (one of the campus ministries at my university), worked out, and still had some extra time to talk with Jesus and read His word before my class. It was just as great as any other day because I try my best to center my day around Jesus. He is a priority in my life and I hope you make him one in yours.
So if you noticed I said “try” my best to center my day around Jesus.
Definition
Try:
Verb
make an attempt or effort to do something.
Noun
an effort to accomplish something; an attempt.
Not that anyone is unaware of what it means to try but I put emphasis on that word because I’m personally struggling with my flesh thinking on how to be consistent with Him daily.
Although my walk with Jesus hadn’t started not too long ago I fight to stay consistent with making sure I make time to read His word. For the the longest I would just wonder where to start in the bible to even begin to have this time with Him every day. Now don’t get me wrong I thank him and praise him all the time for all blessing and the situations he helps me through but as a Christian seeking after God I feel like I have to continue to push to grow in Him. So succumbing to a lackadaisical spirit or not keeping my desire high for Him shows my true feelings. I literally have to make sure I apply all that I speak.
Sometimes I ask God to help me become aware of the things I ask for be it blessings or the things I need help with in my life. When He opens my eyes to what I have asked it helps me to change my perspective of the situation I’m in. Situations that God truly opens my eyes really strengthens so many aspects of my spiritual life.
All in all I leave the charge to anyone who reads this that they begin and/or continue to strengthen your relationship with God. He honors every genuine effort.
