In this rp, people from all over come to London for the season to change their situations, fight off scandals and make connections of all kinds. Social ranking has never been more precarious with ambition changing the landscape and an anonymous writer doing all they can to expose everyone's secrets. Titles can be lost and gained but can you defy expectation and survive in this changing social scene that is filled with so many secrets ready to expose?

what are some potential jobs for a commoner character?
We answered a similar ask here but I could also see some more jobs such as kitchen maids, butlers, ladies's maids / valets (we have a few characters that could be in need of them). If you are looking for more specialized in a trade, wig makers, tailors or another modiste. You could also have a character running a public house or tavern!
I think that is our character masterlist page and yes, it is all up to date! Some open characters have suggested face claims on there, but all skeletons can be changed!

There are some deaths that shake the very foundation in which some of us have built our lives upon and none seem more shaken than the entire Thorne Household, which is only natural given the formidable nature that was the late Earl of Shrewsbury. But mourning must end, ready for life to bloom anew.
The new Earl of Shrewsbury, Lord Tobias Thorne, was the talk of the town due to his new elevated status but true to his reputation, he looked eager to run away. With a family to care for and friends that depend on him I do wonder if this new status will make him grow up or if he will forever be stunted as a reckless heir? Let us hope his sister and step-mother can intervene and save this house from ruin.
Although speaking of family scandals, Miss Katherine Thorne was once revered to be the very savior of her family and yet it pleases me to inform you all of the truth. I have received a number of reports that Miss Thorne was seen kissing her little sister's tutor, Miss Ceara Dempsey! One has to wonder if this is an extra service that the Thorne household has paid for, and I do doubt that Miss Dempsey will have many children under her tutelage after this, or perhaps this is part of her curriculum.
One has to wonder what Mr Elliot Carlisle has to offer society other than his dashing good looks and political savvy, but I am pleased to inform you all that my endeavors have paid off for I have uncovered that our illustrious MP is the owner of a new Gentleman’s Club! I do wonder what services he has on offer for this all to remain a secret, but you will have to partake in such things my readers!
As a consequence, Parliament has decided to investigate Mr Carlisle’s Gentleman Club in an effort to uncover any scandal. There are also rumors about those in parliament wanting a by-election as Mr. Carlisle’s enemies wish to unseat him.
Miss Francesca Salvatore is a new face, joining our social season from Italy and already she has turned heads and with any new faces comes new whispers, there is talk that Miss Salvatore enjoys wearing men’s trousers and has left a trail of broken hearts and admirers in her wake…
As a new lord, someone should have warned Lord JunHo Lytton that with such elevation comes more eyes upon him, those of which cast their eyes long into a man’s past where scandals surely wait. It has become known to me that Lord Lytton did not in fact finish his university education, a basic requirement of fine gentlemen in society.
As a consequence, Lord JunHo Lytton will not be able to pass any bill he desires in his House of Lords, and he is subject to many jokes out in society while his family are constantly questioned as to how or why they allowed JunHo to run away from his studies without an inkling!
It appears that the O’Connor family have a new mascot of sorts, and one in the most unlikely of places. Miss Ceara Dempsy has been seen growing close with Mr Edgar O’Connor, some even saying while in a drunken state late at night, after she was seen barging into Lord Dominic O’Connor’s office in the late hours of the night! If two brothers were not bad enough, it also appears that Miss Dempsey has employed Mr Frederic O’Connor as a teachers aide, without any experience. I would assume that those long, late, working hours make it difficult to tell the O’Connor brothers apart, but perhaps Miss Dempsey would do well to choose her company, and one of the brothers, with care.
Keeping on the topic of the O’Connor brothers, I have had a special interest in Mr Edgar O’Connor. Not only is he the heir presumptive to his brother, but he has been courting a French Princess, though one does wonder how he managed to be in the dark of her title. I do wonder, dear readers, if the French nobility will take kindly to the matter of Edgar burning down a noble’s home after one of his, all too common, public disturbances. It was no random family, but one that belonged to a former sweetheart. In one night, Edgar is transformed from a reckless rake to something considerably more dangerous in society.
As a consequence, Lord Pembroke’s family have demanded retribution resulting in the O’Connor family having to give up one of their English estates as well as a monthly contribution until the restoration is complete. Edgar will be followed by a body guard, while invitations have disappeared from the O’Connor residence, all the while the French diplomats have expressed their displeasure with considerable tact. After all, one suspects that no one wishes to cause an unnecessary diplomatic embarrassment when a French Princess and arsonist is involved.
Lord Niccolò Salvatore’s arrival caused quite a stir, mostly in the gambling rooms of our most treasured Gentleman’s club, but this author has noted that fortune and luck appears to be a constant companion for this Italian lord.
It also appears that not all in society are keen to follow the rules laid out to us by those that came before us, and a shocking example is Ms Leonora Mercier and Lord Dominic O’Connor! Without a chaperone in sight, it is clear that this future husband and wife see the rules of propriety as a suggestion rather than something to be stringently followed. Should this pair make a habit of wandering off together, this author can imagine that the O’Connor household may have a rushed announcement soon.

I know our Barnett players would adore having a Grace character! I love their sisterly bond in the group and bios so I am all for having her here!
Since she is adopted, she does not have to match the family ethnicity but I could also see Abbie Hern, Wu Qian, Anaju Dorigon, Bao Shangen, Isabella Wei or Duda Santos!
I could see Amber Midthunder, Blu Hunt, Fivel Stewart or Madeleine Madden as a face claim for Ajana. I think Ajana has the potential to be such an interesting character so I can not wait to see what you may do with her!
I've asked our players and they would love to see her as either a Winchester cousin or she could even fill in Grace or Elizabeth Barnett. There is also Rosalind Murray, the heiress, that should could also fit!
In terms of the timeline of the group, is it safe to assume that things like the French Revolution or the Napoleonic Wars didn't occur in this universe?
No, they have not happened yet but I'm always open to hear how would like to incorporate real life historical events into this group.

I've asked the players and they would love to see a valet for JunHo (who is a newly elevated lord so there is plenty of potential), a ladies maid for Leonora Mercier (she's soon to be a marchioness so, again, there's plenty to do there)! The Lytton's would also love some staff within their household as well.
In terms of open roles, if you do not want a service role, our players have suggested Nathaniel Bruce, any of the Das daughters, or even Rosalind Murray!

Of course, but she would have to be the sister of Genevive. I have had a look at a few face claims that may fit (depending if you want her older or younger) and they are: Abbie Hern, Katy OBrien, India Amarteifio, Ruby Barker, Sophie Wilde, Tanzyn Crawford or Samantha Logan!

It depends what character you want, but I've come up with a few.
- Your character could have changed their father's will shortly before his death because it would have disinherited them or their favorite sibling.
- They have been quietly buying up debts belonging to their relatives so they can eventually control the family fortune.
They have deliberately cultivated a rivalry with another person because the rivalry protects a secret friendship between them.
- They secretly pay people to spread flattering rumors about themselves.
-They once switched places with their servant during a night out and something scandalous happened while they were disguised as one another.
Our players would also love a secret false noble which could be really fun to play, they could be from France, Spain or another court. They would also like to see someone who is of the nobility / wealthy who is secretly an opera singer
