It's been a while since we have played a show. There has been a bit of time off as Joe has been in Europe for a month and time was needed to put the finishing touches on the "all I've got time for" single release and tour. The tour will see us play venues and festivals all over Sa, Vic, Nsw and QLD. It all kicks off with Folk by the Sea on the beautiful Nsw coast. It won't be the first time we have been in the area as we played Illawarra folk festival back in 2013 on the Lawless tour. Illawarra was one of our fondest memories on that tour with an amazing line up of acts. Together for 3 days we partied, gigged and jammed with some of folks finest Rapskallion, Afenginn and Underscore Orchestra to name just a few. What a beautiful little town Kiama is very welcoming and they love their music!! This girl is the first time at a festival that we have used billeting as an accommodation option. We sure hit the billet jackpot with Bette and George. Folk festivals are quirky affairs mostly run my volunteers who will put all their energy into the festival. Bette and George were no different from the moment we rocked up there was food on the table great company and views of the NSW coast to die for!! Thanks Bette and George you guys rock. Now for some show reviews Firstly we played the Rugby club venue at10pm Friday night. It had been 6 weeks since our last show so it was awesome to be back on stage if a little rusty!! 20 seconds into the show banjo string snap!! Leaving Joe's banjo unusable for the rest of the show!! Second song snap!! Ben is down a guitar string. Luckily we are very used to this as no instrument survives a Timbers show without some damage. Plenty of damage was going on in the crowd too as the dancing got wilder and we played faster!! It was a good feeling get the Timbers train rolling again!! It was great to catch up again with our friends the Hillbilly goats at the festival. We met those guys first last year at the folk and broke festival in nsw. Those guys never stop touring all over in their awesome van and converted horse box!! Bringing goat love to festival goers everywhere!! It was a quick turn around for us back on stage at midday on the second day of the festival playing in the beautiful pavilion room to a packed house!! It felt like such a good show an amazingly appreciative crowd and so many bought up copies of Lawless and we're loving the new stubble holders!! On behalf of all the Timbers thank you so much we can't wait to come back to Kiama!! Next up its Adelaide's turn. Jade monkey 19th of sept it's going to be huge!!

We are currently stuck in the car for another big day driving back to Adelaide. We have just had an amazing weekend at Peak Festival in Perisher snow fields. Our accommodation was luxury. The views were spectacular, the spa was warm and the wine flowed freely. The gigs were fun and we all had a great time hanging out together. I'm sure you'll be happy to hear our new album is very close to being finished. It's been a big process but a lot of fun and we are very happy with the sounds that have been captured. Keep an ear out for for the first single which we will be releasing in the next few months. We are in the tour van on the way back to Adelaide after an awesome tour. After #yackandandahfolkfestival we headed down to Melbourne where we did a bit of busking, and played at the #Vineyard in St.Kilda and at the #ElwoodLounge. We were treated to amazing sets by #SimonPhillips and #Tomthum too. We hit the road early on Thursday for a show in Canberra at the #PhoenixBar with #PJ Michael. We were stoked with the support we received at this show. The crowd knew the words to all our songs and the pub owner was a very generous man! Katoomba was our next destination for a Friday night show at the #CarringtonHotel with #ShaunKirk and #MorganBain. We had not been to Katoomba before and we were quickly impressed by the old buildings and laid back feel. Charity at #fusionboutique was a huge help in getting this show together. We played in the stunning baroque room and the crowd were very appreciative all night. Heading north again we reached the small Hunter Valley town of Broke for our final gig of the tour at the #FolkinBroke Festival. This was a quaint but very cool festival. Acts such as #HillbillyGoats, #GoodCornLiquor and #LloydSpeigel kept the enthusiastic crowd active all day. We were the last act on and had an impromptu song with festival organiser, Adrian Buckley. Another successful and very enjoyable tour has come to an end. Our next trip out of Adelaide will be to play the #PeakFestival in Perisher in June. See you then! Si

We've landed in Melbourne after an amazing weekend at the #yackandandahfolkfestival. We had three pumping sets, great crowds and everyone was super nice. The music was very high quality all weekend. The beer flowed freely thanks to the Star Hotel and we've made a bunch of new friends. It was great to see #Campbelltheswaggie again and even more of a thrill to have him join us on stage twice to play some percussion. We had the privilege of performing with #lilyandking, #NigelWearne, and #JennyBiddle. We are working on a video of our weekend which we will have out for you ASAP. The Adelaide Music Collective is an enthusiastic bunch of Adelaide based people who have had success in the music industry. Through the SA Music Hall of Fame they are honouring the contribution many of these musicians from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s made to Adelaide culture. Another great element to the AMC is the regular gigs they present where an older musician/band plays a gig with an emerging local act. We had the privilege of performing on one of these nights with the Brewster Brothers who are The Angels. Last night we performed at the spectacular Mortlock Library in #Adelaide to raise funds for the curation of the SA Music Hall of Fame. Also on the bill were Australian music legends such as #Masters Apprentices, #The Twilights, #John Schuman, #Peter Combe and heaps more. Each act only played one song and we played straight after the Masters Apprentices. This is a band my Dad used to see play when he was young. I remember him playing their records at home and jamming their riffs on guitar. When I was in high school I did a project where I interviewed their drummer, Brian Vaughton in the back of his chicken shop in Hutt Street. Last night was the first time I had seen him since then and he remembered us meeting. He now insists all of our success must have come from those pearls of wisdom he uttered to me all those years ago. I never thought I'd be playing on a line up with acts like this that are such an integral part of Australian musical history. Joe was getting a history lesson into Australian music by the people who were actually making the music. The night was a big success and an amazing and surreal thing to be a part of. Simon

We had a ball at Yack fest 2 years ago and we can't wait to do it all again.
