I went to my local library today not somewhere I visit often, and the smell of books and dusty shelves filled me with nostalgia making my heart race. The silence of the old building and the grandmother librarian brought peace and coziness out of a dream. The building wasn't grand or aesthetically pleasing, but elderly with cottage cheese ceilings. The books lined with red tape and bold letters were reminiscent of childhood, and I found myself excitingly exploring the shelves for a friend to take home for a new adventure to discover.
