You we're one of my favorite artists and certainly my favorite painter. Your art defined what "grimdark" means in scifi as a whole. I cant day how much i love and appreciate your art, its style and the art and aesthetic it inspires and continues to inspire to this day. I cannot describe my appreciation for these cold tone missing detailed, over the top grimdark paintings and yet again i hope you rest in peace.

Between the pilot more or less being one long 'this is how Syntax destroys games when they can't harm anyone' and that shot of Flappers looking SUPER pissed at the end, I think Flappers is gonna be gunning VERY hard to take some anger out on Mr. and Mrs. Paper.

I think Kit would probably help hold Flappers back- not for Syntax safety, but because she wouldn't want Flappers getting injured- but once she realizes that Fold did the exact same thing to HER world? That's going out the window. Kaboodle also will be happy to curbstomp imo.

I think it's also very interesting that Warrick mentions Malice getting "revenge" on Kit. I can't help but wonder if Malice blames Kit for the world getting blown up, on top of stopping whatever her plan was in the og world. Bad enough getting arrested imagine if two seconds later your house blew up. I'd assume the cops were to blame too!

If so, I can't help but wonder if MAYBE she might change her tune a little if she discovers Fold was feeding Kit and Kaboodle the info to do all of that. Not to heroism, or anything, but to the idea of a one-time team up.

Im saying this because recently I've been playing through the original Half Life on hard difficulty and for some fucking reason I'm running into issues which I will summerise.

1. HECU and Alien spawns have been dramatically increased and they have neen appearing much more frequently then I originally thought with very aggressive AI to boot, an encounter with say 6 Vauts is now an encounter with like 20 Vauts. I've dropped the difficulty down to Easy, thinking that this was limited to hard mode, but thats not changed a thing. All of the scientists and security guards I require are also dead...but I don't respawn, I've reloaded saves and nothing has saved them but the doors are almost always already opened. Another thing is that enemies are now much more aware of me and throw random grenades that kill me much more often. Everything and everyone knows that I'm coming and will delibrately conspire to fuck me over.

2. I've played this game for like 4 years, I don't need help but this fucking new 'tutorial NPC' has appeared and frankly I don't know what to make of her, its fucking causing me strife.

Bitch keeps trying to tell me things I already fucking know about and even talking bollocks that I've never heard of like a door that gives you shit tons of health for trapping yourself atuck in it...like what, killing her is impossible the game just game overs and reloads. Only good thing about her is that she is capable of dealing with a lot of the extra bullshit I've been encountering and I've been getting newly spawned scientists and guards, opened locked doors and more ammo and health...because thats been vanishing from where its supposed to be, even though I've never picked it up, all charging stations are also constantly empty the HECU is drinking it all.

3. Worst of all of them though is whenever I reach the segment where I need to protect that scientist as he opens the portal to Xen, like 30 Alien controllers spawn and instakill the scientist and this disembodied alien voice just fucking tells me that I shouldn't go kill the final boss and that its the last of its kind, like yes I know its abouta become exctinct when I fire but is this bitch for real?

4. This dumbass cat tried to convince me that I didn't need to fire the howitzer to get the gate open (they were blocking the door, I shot them with an SMG grenade because I obviously needed to do so and they fucking dropkicked me into a respawn. And guess what it kept doing this until I fucking Bhopped over the obstruction and then it kept body blocking the shells and my objectives for the rest of the game as well as presumably trying to kill me via directing HECU and aliens to come kill me.

I've started new safe files, verified integrity and uninstalled and reinstalled Half Life multiple times but nothing changes, is there a way to revert this and if there is please help?
