hi so recently there was a very strong earthquake in Venezuela that left so many people deeply affected including my family that lives there. The government obviously doesn't have the means to help its people with the current economic situation and all so I would really appreciate some monetary help as my grandpa and aunt are currently struggling, their home is barely livable at this point (theres multiple cracks in the infraestructure) and they're in dire need of basic need products (food is scarce due to the high demand) There's also some direct friends of the family that were deeply affected and I would like to help them too, any dollar or sharing helps

A lot is happening in the country after the earthquake, there are people trapped still under the rubble. As time goes by it gets harder to save them so any action is crucial. Volunteers from outside Spanish speaking countries are there right now to help and this is where they need your support!

If you speak Spanish plus any other language, they are searching for volunteers helping to translate the dialogue between the rescue team and the locals. If you know some medical vocab, even better!

On June 24, 2026, my country, Venezuela, suffered a disaster of enormous proportions: two earthquakes, one following the other, that caused widespread destruction throughout the country. Many cities suffered both material and human losses.

Buildings and homes collapsed with people inside. There are casualties. Many. The situation is bleak.

Allied nations around the world have sent aid to Venezuela, and I am eternally grateful and humbled by that.

I live in Caracas, the capital of this country, and although the situation here is grim and difficult, it pales in comparison to the reality faced in La Guaira, a coastal city less than half an hour from the capital. I am fine. My house sustained minor damage, nothing too serious.

it's appalling how little reporting is happening on this huge disaster crisis. this article is already 7 hours old as of my posting.

"Rescuers were still racing to rescue possible survivors of those earthquakes when Saturday’s seismic activity hit. At least 1,430 people have been confirmed dead so far after Wednesday’s quakes. Another 51,000 have been reported missing. Authorities have said that recovering survivors will become increasingly unlikely if they are not found within the first 72 hours after an earthquake strikes. Many people are believed to be buried under the rubble from collapsed buildings, and the death toll is expected to climb."

The current political 'leaders', military and police are NOT HELPING. The political situation is unstable, and the people are relying on OUTSIDE and FOREIGN relief.

"The capital's main airport is badly damaged The International Organization for Migration said over 6 million people could be affected, some 2 million in the capital, Caracas, alone. Experts said the destruction was amplified by the quick succession of shallow quakes. For days, smaller aftershocks occasionally shook the capital, Caracas and areas hit by the quakes, including one measuring 4.8 on Saturday."
