I don't get why people hate Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror so much. Like... is it a standout episode of this era? Not really.

But it's far and away one of the best portrayals of Tesla I've ever seen, and it continues this era's way of really digging into the historical characters.

Also it drags Edison, which I am always down for.

The aliens are stupid? Okay??? Have you never seen another episode of Doctor Who?????

I've also seen people say it lacks the energy of s11, which... Like... Did you stop for half a second to think about the fact that that's a deliberate choice?????? I can understand not loving the sort of weird unexpectedly dark vibes under the episode if it's the only one you've seen, but if you've seen any of the rest of the season, that's the character arc????

Thirteen's theme only in a minor key and never in a major key anymore???? The motif from the Gallifrey theme back FOR GALLIFREY??????????????????? Instead of bringing back the entire thing, it's just a liiiiiittle bit of it??? And not even remotely the most recognizable bit?!?!?!? I AM CHEWING THE FURNITURE. And then!!!! AND THEN. The Time Lords theme?!?!?! He connected all of them?????? Like he built them backwards????? I swear he built Thirteen's theme off the Gallifrey theme and then built the Time Lords theme off her theme but I need someone better at music theory than I am to confirm that first one because I'm shit at theory I'm foaming at the mouth I'm going to need to be resuscitated send help I could write an entire essay on how crazy this makes me
