Let go of that ungodly relationship you somehow found yourself in. You know there isn’t peace. That’s God saying He wouldn’t let you settle as He has better in store for you. Believe it even when you’re all blue

“God does not leave His children in the depths of sorrow. Joy will come, and it will come in God’s timing.”
— John Piper
“When a father leads his four-year-old son down a crowded street, he takes him by the hand & says, ‘hold on to me.’ He doesn’t say ‘memorize the map,’ or ‘take your chances dodging the traffic’ or ‘let’s see if you can find your way home.’ The good father gives the child one responsibility: ‘hold on to my hand.’ God does the same with us. Don’t load yourself down with lists. Don’t enhance your anxiety with the fear of not fulfilling them. Your goal is not to know every detail of the future. Your goal is to hold the hand of the One who does & never, ever let go.”
— Anxious for Nothing, Max Lucado (via myheartbelongstochrist)
“When I say “for better or for worse,” I’m going to mean it as I lean on the strength and faithfulness of Christ’s promises and purpose in my groom’s life. But when he says, “for better or for worse,” I will stand with a clean conscious that I have done my part in communicating what he’s getting into. By the time we exchange those vows, we will have shown our scars, the blood on our hands, the poison in our heart, the pain from our past, the fears of the future, and the undeniable neediness we have for the hope and power of a loving God who will honor honesty and empower us to fulfill the vows we make before Him to each other.”

Trying to fathom God’s grace
“For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.“

There is so much glory and beauty when you go into a storm with Jesus and come out more in love with Him than when you first went in.

The great need is for us to be taught theologically, not just stirred emotionally.

I literally cannot go to sleep. I hate these kind of nights because this is when my mind is restless. I'm not sure if it was because of the overly-espressoed coffee I had 12 hours ago or my brain not shutting up. Either way, it has my heart fuzzled.
I'm amazed how much has happened in my life so far. I remember all the hurdles I experienced each year as I got older. They seem so long ago, but to realize they were only 2, 4, 8 years back (and so on) makes the memories feel like they were yesterday. I'm married now (for those who don't know) & a year has already gone by. We all have to admit there are moments in our lives that we want to erase, moments that we've seemed to forgotten and moments you want to forget, but can't.
From the heartaches I have experienced, I learned that letting go is a lifelong process. It may not necessarily be about letting a person go. Sometimes, it's allowing yourself to not feel the pain of those heart wrenching moments in life, but to accept that what's left, is the lesson you had to learn from it. Are there things we regret? I'm sure we all do such as, we could've done something differently or said kinder words. Maybe you shouldn't have burnt that bridge. You mourn over broken relationships and lost friendships. How about making wiser decisions that could have impacted your future now.
All of those little decisions, who would have thought it would be a catalyst to today? But since I have a God who is constant in my ever shifting world, it gives me great comfort that He works all things for my good, but ultimately to bring His name glory. I thank God every shattered piece is not wasted. Trust me when I say that those hard times were not easy and joyful, however it's comforting to know that He sees the greater picture. Not only that, Jesus says that He can complete my joy in the midst of imperfection, sin and brokenness. Honestly, who would love me the way my Savior does? His love is endless regardless of how ugly I am when I'm most vulnerable.
