He laughs lightly and stays leaned on the edge of the ring.  “From what I’ve heard you don’t need luck, you’ll be fine.” He smirks and looks towards the smug fool standing in the other corner, this was absolutely the best revenge plan he had ever come up with.  

“Oh I know. But it never hurts to get a little extra luck to back you up.” The fire-bender sent him a quick wink as she looked ahead towards who would be her opponent; hands resting on her hips as she found herself smirking. “Let’s get this over with, shall we?”

“Yeah, well winnings are yours when you take him, and if he hurts you I will kill him.” He follows her to the ring and leans against the edge.  “Remember, there are no rules here, no lines, headshots are allowed, it’s basically a street fight for your life.”

“Hm, a real street fight... Haven’t been in one of those for a good couple of years now.” Ruri muttered, rubbing her hands in preparation. Not that she was frightened; she had long since blurred the lines of life and death within her mind, although she supposed she should still be a bit careful. As a pro-bender, it wouldn’t do her good to to accidentally kill anyone.

“I’ve got no doubt about you being quicker.” He watches her with a slight tilt of his head “In my defense, scrappy over there had his goonies jump me last night, it was an unfair disadvantage for me, 4 on one.”

“Really?” Ruri tilts her head towards her opponent once more, narrowing her eyes in false thought. “So not only is he a twig, but he’s a cheating twig...”

“Took you long enough Fireball.”

Ruri glanced across the ring at the aforementioned guy, scoffing under her breath as she crossed her arms over her chest.
