I don't post often anymore but I felt I had to say something about this. I AM CRUSHED... (Sorry for the rant post ahead)

I don't even know where to start with this... I saw the notice when I woke up this morning and it has just ruined my day... (and the ones in the foreseeable future)

While the servers will keep running and new content will "just" not be updated anymore, this is clearly a termination notice and will only lead to the death of this amazing game that I have so much attachment to...

I've been logging in everyday for over 5 years (so almost since launch) and I can't fathom losing my beloved game after all the hours I've put in... It has helped me through so much... When I've first downloaded it I never expected it to do so much for me yet here I am over 5 years later balling my eyes out over this... I've developed an incredible attachment to the characters, especially my beloved Comte and Isaac and I've looked forward to Galileo so much... And for it to end like this ..?

My heart feels like it's being torn apart... Some might think I'm overexaggerating or just pathetic but as someone with a very emotionally taxing irl life due to long lasting health issues among other things, this game just brought me just the right amount of escapism as well as a new passion for history and forgotten historical figures that started when I started to play this game.

So yes maybe I pathetic for feeling this much over it, but to me this game was one of the best thing that ever happened to me... It helped me grow, helped me found a passion, helped me escape this life when I needed it. And now Cybird wants to teminate it ? For what ? Yes it came out 6 years ago (because of course they annonce that during the birthday event too...) and that's pretty old for this type of game but from what I'm seeing it does still have a fanbase. I woudn't call it a dead game, like during event it's still easy to find event friends and whatnot so why ? I don't understand... I understand that this is probably a business decision but I'll be honest, this seems like an AWFUL business decision to me... because this isn't the first game Cybird has done that to, which means it's becoming a repeating pattern that will most likely apply to all of their games in the future. And that doesn't make you want to try their other games to know they will most likely never finish them if they consider they are not profitable enough... I for one was quite interested in IkeVil but now that I see how they treat one of their long standing, and probably one of their most popular games (or at least formerly most popular) I've decided that I will not try it... because I don't want to find myself in this kind of situation again. I don't want to grow attached only to have the characters be tacken away from me like this again... My opinion alone probably means nothing to them, they won't care whether I download their games or not, obviously they don't rely on me alone to keep their company going, but I can't be the only one who feels like this and will make this kind of decision, which is why I feel like this is a bad bussiness decision on their part.

I can only ask one thing and it's to please reconcider. It is true that this game probably lost a fair amount of it's playerbase over the years and that's normal. Every game has that happen to them, but why terminate it ? When it's not even done ? Like we only have sequels for a handful of characters, we won't get to see the new guys, especially Galileo evolve through the event stories, we won't his relationship with the MC deepens or anything... Also for the many Leonardo stans among the fandom this is just cruel since they will never get his sequel EVEN THOUGH IT'S HERE... (And I'll never get Le Comte's or Isaac's sequel...) I don't understand why Cybird just gives up on this game when it feels like they never even tried to save it/parry the loss of playerbase... For example, the UI always stayed the same, the reward system never evolved despite it clearly needing a revamp, they never made use of the mission board system, etc... I'm sure if all those things had been adressed the playerbase would have evolved and the game would still do well enough for cybird to consider it profitable despite it's age, so why ? Why did you not try to keep the afloat like this ? Why sacrifice it ? I already picked up IkePrince so should I fear that the same thing will happen to it in a few years ? Why Cybird ?

I, along many people in the fanbase I'm sure, am willing to wait as long as you need to revamp the game so why not do that ? Why terminate it ? I don't mind a few months of nothing if that means keeping this game I hold so dear alive, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

All we want Cybird, is to keep spending time with our beloved characters and see them evolve, see their stories evolve... So please let me ask one last time... Please reconsider this decision Cybird.

I'll wait, along with many players, all the time you need to make a game you're satisfied with... So long as you don't take this amazing world away from us.......

Don't take my only form of escapism away from me......
