Backgrounds from Nickelodeon’s “The Outsiders” what I done art-directed. Took photos in Sequoia National Park, which wasn’t nearly as majestic as I had hoped, so I had to collage various trees and grounds into something feeling real. Then I split the backgrounds into layers to simulate depth of field, and painted in highlights and lowlights, sun-beams etc. It is so handmade it hurts.

Produced The Outsiders for Nickelodeon last year too at Rubber House. I art directed and painted backgrounds and animated, Ivan Dixon did them character designs and we boarded it. Created by Eric Bravo & directed by Chris Garbutt and Rikke Asbjoern. Some of my fave shots I done did diddly did.

Scenes from “Player Hater,” my last spot for Adult Swim. Watch the full vid here. This short was my response to the recent “Gamergate” controversy. Orginally it was just supposed to feature an Indiana Jones esque adventurer dying over and over again, like in the original Prince Of Persia or Spelunky. When I went to design the player character I thought, “Why not make it a female?” Then gamergate happened. I figured there was no way my character choice would be seen as a coincidence, so I decided to twist the ending and make the 4Chin-neckbeard the butt of the joke.
