Lorenzo smiled as he made his way up the steps to Theresaâs apartment. They were keeping things pretty casual especially since the whole dinner with his sister incident. Heâd had a lot of fun with her during the Indiana Jones Marathon, though if he was honest Indy wasnât as bad when you got into the other movies. It was just the first one that annoyed him. Not that heâd tell her that. She seemed to have so much more fun bugging him about not liking the guy. Really he just enjoyed spending time with her. Grinning softly he knocked on the door, his smile widening as she opened the door. âHey birthday girl..I brought breakfast..and now iâm hoping your friends didnât beat me to it..âÂ

Theresa had every intention of having a quiet birthday. It was a weekday and sheâd already called out of work and emailed all of her professors. It was her birthday and she didnât intend to spend it being yelled at by law professors who acted as if everyone in their class was incompetent or by a boss who acted as if interns were expendable and worthless. She groaned when she heard the knock on the door, but padded quickly and threw open the door ready to yell at whoever was standing there, but stopped when she noticed Lorenzo. âI donât remember telling you about my birthday,â she said, but then smiled. âThe girls and I practically spent all weekend together, but no, youâre definitely the first one to bring me breakfast. Though I canât promise that Mari isnât on her way right now with waffles.âÂ
