MADHOUSE RENEGADES †SECOND IN COMMAND
ââThe time for subtlety is passing. Now is the time for change.â
SNAPSHOTS :-
takes initiative, unscrupulous, capable
Jinâs reputation for breaking the right bones at the right time preceded them. Their athleticism allowed them to win multiple rounds in the underground fight club where Jin makes some pocket money despite the disapproval of their father, who firmly believed Jin, the person destined to lead the Madhouse Renegades one day, had to be better than just a fighter in a barâs basement. And yet...the family still makes use of the extra income they brought in. Someone has to put food on the table and keep the boys in school, Jin had once huffed, voicing the excuse more for their own ears than their otosanâs. They did not regret their words in the slightest. What the legacy of Reyes had thought them was to choose to be their own hero no matter who had a problem with it.
Mr. Tamada, the owner of the bar Jin had frequented as a youth and member of one of the leading families in Madhouse Renegades, had offered them odd jobs from transporting goods ( if they had to guess, it would be various firearms and weapons ) to tailing high profile targets. They reported back to him and he relayed the information to the others. They graduated to a point where they started bringing in their marks, no questions asked. The better they got, the more tangled into it they became. Jin justified the work by convincing themself that the men they brought in had done worse to others. And what better way to get know their own people than to be among them, to experience their pain and loss with them.
It was in those moments that Jin came to realize just how small and how connected the world was and how every bridge built has its uses. So, when the opportunity arose, they chose to cross a red bridge without looking back, pledging themself to the Madhouse Renegades, promising to bring down a barrage of righteous fury upon the empire, the kind that has been owed to the poor and lowly people of Ilbern for too long.
But despite all their ambitions and aspirations, they could not do it on their own.
tenacious, purposeful, unyielding
Despite their constant disagreements, Â Jinâs father and brothers were the only bright lights of their darkening lifeâbefore their bodies were discovered in their upended home in the spring of 2165. They had barely turned 18. Jin had been given reason to believe that their deaths were ordered by the Emperor thus making this the single event that tipped the scale. If itâs a villain they want, itâs a villain theyâll get. Jin had the potential to be good at soul reaping but having no more loved ones and no more home does something to a person. It was the start of their evolution to greatness.
Jin might as well have been pulled from the depths of obscurity by Saint Reaper at this point. When he put his hand on their shoulder, almost in twisted respect in hindsight, and promised them a that they would find those responsible for their familyâs murder. They didnât question their friend when a list of names were put into their hands. Through their grief they slowly but surely embossed their bones with rime, so that when the icy chasm called for them, they were able to dig their heels into the ground and answer with a biting scream of their own. They would not be consumed by the family shaped gulf left in their life. If anything, they were more determined than ever to rebuild all that had crumbled.
After the emotionally driven mission, Jin had been left with a wound on their thigh deep enough to scarâa result of a bullet that flew at their leg when facing down their fatherâs alleged killer. It left them considerably shaken having to readjust their gait but strode back to the Butcherâs Street they did, with the hearts of the pro-royalists in their pockets, leaving a bloody mess in their wake.
From then onwards, gradually they instinctively look toward Saint Reaperâs leadership and guidance.
confident, pragmatic, acquisitive
While Jin is a portrait of someone who has some qualities suited to a spy, quiet and nimble in the dark, they see how Saint Reaper notes their well of cockiness whenever they meet and it delights them how much it grates on his nerves. Itâs not all talk, however, as Jin is immensely confident in their abilities. Itâs been more than a decade since Jin has evolved from a scrappy underground fighter to a Saint Reaperâs second in command and the years have infused their soul with the gore theyâve wreaked, embellished by fine instruments of carnage their dues allowed them.
With the hammer of the Emperor constantly crashing down on them, Jin makes it a point to acquire the best defenses they can get to protect their peopleâsupport and firepower. In fact, they relish acquiring the best of the best, especially since their hard work and dedication have paid off time and time again. It doesnât hurt to have the gadgets to go with the reputation. If anything, it adds more fear value to their notoriety.
They have come a long way and are now fluent in the language of briars and brambles, of stabs in the dark, familiar with the pangs of greedâa far cry from their former self.
