Little fun fact: while they can’t communicate with the living world on the plain, it’s still up to date with technology. They have phones and such (but as said, they can’t talk to the living world) and Ben has a glucose monitor on his arm. Why? Idk, it’s the same logic as Drooper’s sentient robots and an immortal moose manager 🤷‍♀️

Sorry I’ve been gone for so long, I lost my tumblr due to switching phones but I got a new phone that supports the app. This set was from my valentines posts but it had their pride flags so I’ll use it for my pride post here (also, Drooper’s birthday is in 5 days!)

These flags aren’t here in the second image but Snorky is genderfluid, Stella is transfem and Drooper is transmasc. The spider girl in the third image is Suzan, pretty much the main villain (think of the sour grapes as secondary villains.) She’s pretty much why the cycle exists and sees the splits as playthings, being an immoral being like Malcum but unlike Malcum, she was never mortal

Extra!

- Ben and Dave are in a secret relationship, having hid it in the 60’s but being caught making out once by Felix. In the present on the plain, they opened up about it

- Dave is basically deaf (rarely ever wears his hearing aids.) Drooper gets his stubbornness with him because Drooper is blind and also refuses help but both start to complain when they trip over stuff or run into things

- Felix, Ben, Dave and Stephen are their real names! Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky were their stage names back in the 60’s but they use their real names now

- Felix hits the others with his gavel when they annoy him, he even kicked Dave in the nuts with his steel toe boots on once to make a point

- they were born in the 1930’s and died in 1968, being in their 30’s when they died but technically in their 80’s now

“Yeah right, haha! Hey, why don’t you do your daddy a favor and just jump off a bridge? It would mean less idiots to worry about in the world”

Drooper looked around, hearing voices of his past following him. The voices of the his bullies echoing in his mind.

“Stop it! Leave me alone!”

Drooper looked over, hearing his voice as a child begging for his bullies to stop. Drooper tried to run over but felt paralyzed, not being able to move to his younger self.

“aw, isn’t that cute? She wants us to stop. If you really want us to stop then go ahead and do it. Kill yourself”

Drooper remembered this moment vividly; it was his first day at the Boy Scouts, before he met Fleegle and Bingo. Before Drooper could process what was going on, he was in a porta potty crying

“It’s not fair! I just wanted to belong… I-I… I don’t know how much longer I can take it… maybe they were right, maybe I should just kill myself”

A long silence grew between little Droopers statement and when Fleegle should have been comforting him. Drooper was stuck in a moment of confusion, realizing that Fleegle wasn’t there. Suddenly, Drooper felt a push and was stuck in his childhood bathroom. Everything looked the same but no matter how hard he pushed the door, it wouldn’t budge. Drooper ran to his mirror and saw himself, himself from when he was 9, prior to coming out

“You’re so stupid! No matter how hard you try, you’re never going to matter. You’re never going to be a boy, you’re always going to be Darla to everyone…”

(Screams)

Drooper awoke in his hammock, shaking and crying

“Not again” Drooper thought

Drooper looked around his room, seeing all of the stuff and reminding himself it was just a nightmare. Drooper hopped down from his hammock, going to his dresser to check the time

“3:15 am” Drooper read

Drooper could hear the tv on in the next room and a pen scratching on a piece of paper. Instinctively, Drooper walked over to the room to knock the door. It took a few seconds but the door opened, Snorky on the other side.

Snorky honked, being translated to “again?”

Drooper nodded, feeling bad for this becoming a reoccurring issue “I’m sorry Snorks. I don’t know what’s wrong with me”

Snorky sighed and gestured for Drooper to come in. Drooper slowly walked into Snorky’s room, taking in the environment. Snorky’s adoption papers from when she was 14 was placed neatly beside Snorky’s tv. Snorky’s art covered the walls they had painted light purple as the glow of Snorky’s tv illuminated the room.

“Snorks, I really am sorry about this. I know it’s probably annoying and-“

Snorky stopped Drooper mid sentence, honking in concern. Drooper was able to translate the honking to “Droops it’s ok. You don’t have to apologize for nightmares, I understand”

Drooper started tearing up, going to Snorky for a hug. Despite Snorky normally hating when people besides Fleegle hug him, Snorky gave in and let Drooper hug her. Drooper’s brown fur felt extremely fuzzy against Snorky, feeling damp from Drooper’s sweat.

Snorky started honking, saying “Drooper. It doesn’t matter what happens in your nightmares, you’re still Drooper no matter what. Even though we fight and bicker a lot, I’m here for you. All of us are here for you, no matter what.”

Drooper fell asleep on Snorky as Snorky was comforting him, finally feeling peace. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll always be here for you buddy”

I referred to Drooper prior to him saying his new name as “D” because it’s his first initial (dead name and current name) and I wanted to wait for that moment for him without using his dead name in the text. Drooper is about 9-10 here; he’s understood since he was young that he felt like he was in the wrong body but never knew how to say it until he was 9-10, later finding out that the word was transgender when he was 11-12

D: daddy…?

Wilbur: oh, hi hunnypie! What did you need? It’s awfully late for you to be up on a school night

D: I-i know, I’m sorry.

Wilbur: what are you sorry for sugar? I just wanted to know why you’re up so late. Did you have a nightmare or somthin?

…

D: well… I- I um… I wanted to tell you something but I don’t want you to get mad at me

Wilbur: mad? Why would I get mad at you (D)?

D: um… well, I just- I don’t think- I don’t feel right in my body

Wilbur: don’t feel right? What do you mean by that honey?

D: well… I’m a girl but I don’t feel like a girl. It’s not a tomboy thing but I just feel like I should have been a boy. I’m sorry daddy, I know I’m all you have left of momma but I just don’t feel right

Wilbur: oh… oh honey! Don’t apologize for how you feel. I don’t care if you’re a mini version of your mama or not. I love you for you, I just want you to be happy and healthy. I support you, no matter what

D: (sniffles) thanks dad.

Wilbur: so, what do you want me to call you from now on champ?

D: … Drooper

If they’ve ever been in legal trouble (warning for a slight mention of racism in Fleegle’s)-

Fleegle: got banned from a McDonald’s when he was 21 and Snorky was 15 for attacking an employee (they were being mean to Snorky and was being borderline racist to her)

Bingo: stole a candy bar when he was like 5 from a candy store. His mom got him out of charges but he was in trouble when he got home (got whipped with a belt and was put in time out)

Drooper: accidentally walked out on a red light and almost got ran over. Had to show documentation about him being basically blind (the car was too far for him to notice it) and was let off with a warning

Snorky: has gotten into some issues with her violent tendencies but never anything to land himself into deep legal trouble (always being calmed by Fleegle before it can escalate that far)

Most embarrassing thing to happen to them-

Fleegle: forgot the word “Carrot” and asked for a long orange stick

Bingo: held hands with Fleegle when they were little (when they were around 12, a year after meeting in Boy Scouts) to make sure they didn’t get lost or kidnapped while going home and bingo basically freaked out, crying and running into his house once they got there due to being embarrassed and then felt embarrassed for how he reacted and started crying even more

Drooper: called his teacher “mama” once and still cringes about it to this day

Snorky: crashed out on everyone because he lost her Hershey’s bar, forgot they ate it the previous day

How they deal with homophobia-

Fleegle: tries to distance himself from the individual, goes home and cries

Bingo: laughs in their face about it, then goes home and rage drums

Drooper: just cries, doesn’t know what else to do

Snorky: tries to murder the homophobe, has to be held back by Fleegle

How clean their room is-

Fleegle: his side of his and Bingo’s room is very neat and tidy

Bingo: his side of his and Fleegle’s room is surprisingly tidy (but then again, Fleegle is a bit of a neat freak) but it’s not as tidy as Fleegle’s side

Drooper: his room is decent. It’s messy but still livable where he doesn’t have to fight to get from one end to another

Snorky: her room is really neat. Like Fleegle, they’re a neat freak but he has a lot of his art on the walls as well as her adoption papers (but they keep important pictures in a drawer under her bed)

How they deal with a nightmare-

Fleegle: “whats that? I don’t even sleep that much… which is bad since it could cause sleep paralysis… oh well!” or “welp, that’s gonna go in my trauma pile… I’m gonna go make some coffee and stay up, act totally normal and not have a mental breakdown to keep everyone together”

Bingo: screams and cuddles Fleegle crying

Drooper: terrified shaking, often going into Snorky’s and sleeping with them to calm down (Snorky acts like she hates it but does enjoy Droops company)

Snorky: panic attack, crying hysterically (causing Fleegle to come in and comfort them since he’s a light sleeper and protective of Snork)

During an emergency-

Fleegle: “ok everyone! Calm down, we can deal with this”

Bingo: “that’s it! We’re all gonna die! We’re done for!” (Crying)

Drooper: “… hey, I just thought of a joke. What does a skeleton get when it graduates? A SKULLership” (basically making light of the situation)

Snorky: (just drawing)

How they react to a ghost-

Fleegle: “wait, you’re real? Like, a real ghost? This is… fascinating! There’s so much I gotta document here!”

Bingo: (screaming and running away) “NOT TODAY SATAN!”

Drooper: “I knew it, ghosts are real!” … “oops, that’s not the important part. Ghosts often exist due to unfinished business. Is there anything you need to do to move on?” (Just trying to help the ghost)

Snorky: freaking out, crying but staying close to Fleegle for protection

Getting a spam call/text-

Fleegle: “um… im sorry, i think you have the wrong number. I don’t know a Stevie”

Bingo: “hiya, welcome to Tim’s taxidermy and Veterinarian services! Either way you get ya pet back” (basically trolling them)

Drooper: blocks and reports

Snorky: (angry honking, translating to “you better leave me the f!!k alone or else I’m gonna make you want to put a down payment on a grave lot because it’s gonna have your name embedded with bright pink letters so you can’t miss it while you’re down in hell picking plaque off of Lucifer’s already musty teeth.” Yeah, violence)

During a meet and greet-

Fleegle: having a mental freakout, hates crowds and loud places (mix of trauma and over stimulation)

Bingo: enjoys it, likes meeting fans but tries to make sure Fleegle is ok

Drooper: running away because crazed fangirls keep chasing him but other than that, he enjoys it

Snorky: doesn’t mind it, likes to sign things for fans though and draw things for them

What kind of weapon they’d use-

Fleegle: knife he kept from his Boy Scout days, almost used it to stab Charlie after she almost killed Bingo

Bingo: anything that’s not sharp (trauma from Charlie almost killing him with a sword)

Drooper: gun or a bow and arrow

Snorky: bare fists
